First I don't want to act as ref, because I have done posts that were removed and put in a different forum topic. I don't see the relevance to be on Washington Redskins Page.
But, personally I'm not a fan of Mike Jones.

Let's NOT be so quick to discard Alf. He has been a great team player and very humble.

Please..........no more controversies. Let's be a team, play like a team, and get along like a team. Put all the egos aside and start WINNING GAMES again.

I feel bad for Alf, but he is a great person of great character. I hope we find a way to keep him next year, though the money will be an issue.
I would hate to see Alf go (love his character and game)

Agree. The dude was great yesterday. IMHO, we have the BEST RB combination in the NFL. Yes, I honestly believe that.

He needs to learn to run LOWER (Mat Jones PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this!!!) --- but I saw a little Beast Mode in him yesterday.

Running lower will make him even more effective and able to protect the ball. Due to his size he was able to get away with this in college, but this is the NFL. Get low and it will make him SO much harder to bring down.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

I hope we can keep him too for all of the reasons you listed.

I don't think there is any controversy though. Morris/Jones have been killing it the past two weeks. We're getting great running from both of them.

Btw good grief did you ever kill me in the fantasy league this weekend, man. Nasty!

How does a guy his size run lower? He runs like Riggo, who didn't need to run lower.

Welcome to how a real NFL team is ran…if Alfred wants to stay a Washington Redskins (as Gruden like to say..lol) it will have to be at a cap friendly number. SM just showed you how capable he is at plucking a serviceable RB in the 3rd of the draft!! And he is a 6th rounder.

In fairness, Alf was a 6th round pick so i don't think he'd be surprised by anything when it comes to where players are drafted. I hope Alf can stay in DC, i think he's a true professional and the kind of guy you want to have on a team but only time will tell. Only a week ago he was the guy with 120+ yards so we're in a good spot with these two guys. I will say that if anyone is willing to settle for less it's probably Alfred, he seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't hold a team to a certain financial number and I believe that he is a team guy.

One thing i'm really excited about is the return of D-Jax. With the run game operating like it is if we can get D-Jax back healthy it will really put defenses in a bind on play action. Add in a hopefully healthy Jordan Reed in the middle of the field and this offense could really get some big plays..

I think the Skins will be smart when it comes to Morris, especially with McCloughan calling the shots. Its really going to be about Alf. No doubt he needs and deserves to get the most possible out of this next contract. Tough out there for RBs these days though.

Morris has been in the league for 3 years and been killing it from the DAY he got into the league. The bad thing is that this is his contract year and he is an UNRESTRICTED FA.

Morris seems like a stand up guy, but if I were his agent, I'd be telling him his #1 priority is to get AS MUCH GUARANTEED $$$ as he can within his upcoming contract --- because it will 100% be his last opportunity for big $$$. I would LOVE to see him stay (especially because he is the only current playing redskin I have bought the jersey of in my life), but if I were him and being 27 come contract time ---- you are a couple years from career twilight. And don't think for 1 second this wasn't a consideration when Scot drafted Jones in the 3rd round.......

Agreed, I hope for Alfred's sake he get his $$$ I'm just saying (and hoping) that the days of the Redskins overpaying for players like him are over...Like I said I hope he get his money, if he's looking for max money I'm afraid that will be with someone else....see Murray.

Morris is a high character guy whom has his head firmly in the right place... Clearly frugal, and, I would bet, banking/investing every dime he does not need to spend. I suspect he will continue to play whatever hand is dealt him wisely.
The reality of his fairy tale ride is certainly not lost on him... This is, after all, the NFL... He'll ride the magic for as long as he can. I'm hoping he still has lots of magic to hold.

Good teams have a solid rb by committee now-a-days.. from Seattle to GB.. hell look at the three on the Fecals depth chart!

Having a solid one two w Morris and Jones (who?!) Is a sweet luxury, and CT as the third down back even better... Add in DY and our backfield is by far the best in the bizz!!

Alfred and Bruce will both have to be flexible to keep this dream alive tho :/
