Gameday thread - Rams Vs. Redskins

Post by Deadskins »

Can we bounce back against a team that beat the Seahawks last week?

I am so tired of the news media, national and local, giving our team zero chance of doing anything positive. Zero respect for anything at all. Most of these jackasses comment without even watching our games. Cousins is an interception machine? What did Peyton and Flacco do last week? I'm just tired of it all. Forget them.

Win and it begins to change. Win and they shut up. We have improved parts of the team and have more improvement to do in others. However, to the media -- many of whom despise us for the team name due to their PC sympathies -- we'll never do anything worthwhile. Forget them.

I hope the team does us a favor today and wins. Wins decisively too. Win so that Jeff Fischer has to answer uncomfortable questions. Win so that the fools on ESPN have to pay attention. Prove our support worthwhile, team.

Make it happen.

I'd absolutely love to think that we have a chance of winning this game. We don't. Almost 80% of the Rams offense is passing, something they do extremely well, to the tune of their wide receivers averaging 17 yards or more per reception last week against Seattle. St. Louis will have to lose the game for us to win it. Our secondary is hot garbage.

#31 in your playbooks, #1 in your end zones.

Special teams didn't give up a touchdown on the ensuing kickoff. It's the little things.

The odds of returning one 108 yards are slim.

Not to get too excited but that's two great series by the defense.

Crap. If Cousins hits Grant in stride there he's gone.
