Welcome to the M*A*S*H* unit formerly known as the Washington Redskins starting unit.
“He was at that time the smartest player in the league. We did everything we could to try to eliminate him from the play. We knew if we didn’t neutralize him, then we had less of a chance of winning.” - John Hannah on Chris Hanburger
the biggest deal with the rebuilding is the lack of depth - losing DeSean Jackson hurts but Cousins is not going to go deep much anyway ...
but ... it's also an opportunity for others to show they can contribute when we get all the pieces together here
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Not having Djax is killer, in case you didn't notice Cousins over threw Djax and I think it is the first that has happened, but Ross has speed, hands and the Defensive Coaches don't have tape on him. Throw him into the mix.
I'm actually more bummed about losing Ihenacho. Can't replace DJax obviously, but at least there is some depth there. Ihenacho has been playing well, and the secondary just can't afford to lose guys like that. Culliver out a week now too. We're really going to need the d-line to step up and get to Foles this Sunday.

Ihenacho to IR, so someone will need to step up. And, no, we're not signing Kam Chancellor.

Unfortunately, we have to now suffer from watching Trent Murphy run around like a chicken with his head cut off for the remainder of the season. Ihenacho is definitely a bigger blow to the team. Ross should get more opportunities now, which I am really looking forward to. DJax is gone after this season anyway.

I only got to listen to parts of the game on the radio last weekend, but it sounds like we could have ourselves quite a run game going on. If we focus on it (and excel), we'll create opportunities for those filling in for Jax.
On top of that, we could win the T.O.P. battle.
Needless to say, it stinks that in week one we're looking slim at key spots.

We were slim at S before the preseason ended...
