Yes. Not enough push. Tackling is questionable. Blown assignments. Against the Cleveland Browns. I stand by my comment.

looks like Cousins went 8/8 for 90 at the half and the Redskins trailing 14 -13 after being down 14 - 3

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Now Silas Redd is down. Ugh! I hate seeing injuries in the preseason.

Redskins up 20-17 - time to give McCoy a shot and see if we have 3 good QBs here

Re: Gameday thread - Redskins Vs. Browns
Disappointed with injuries but encouraged tonight. My thoughts:
1. The Skins were determined to run and they ran well tonight. The run blocking looked improved. It's just one game but the early returns are good. Maybe the new line coach and the new OLM are making a difference let's hope we see similar results in the next game. A competent power running game makes it much easier for the defense and the QB.
2. The draft choices played well a huge plus. SM's picks look like winners in their first outing.
3. The Browns offense was so much better with Mccown playing so I don't want to make too much of the way the Skins dominated the stats but the success of our rushing attack contributed by controlling the ball and limiting the Browns opportunities.
4. The special teams play was the weakest aspect of the game. We don't kick it into the end zone and our return game is an issue again.
5. Griffin didn't play long enough to have a real opportunity to demonstrate much improvement. I don't have an oppinion yet on whether he has more command of the offense than last year based on this brief appearance.. He took a 5 step drop on one play and didn't release when he reached his drop. He stood stationary before throwing it rather then stepping up into pocket so the outside rusher hit him. Griffin took several shots tonight and this could've been avoided if he had stepped up into the pocked. On another play Robert made quick appropriate decision to run whe he saw a void ahed.
If Garçon had held on to that long pass Robert's night would have been more impressive but that's on Garçon, Robert delivered a catchable pass. He missed on a sideline pass he placed the ball inside instead of outside but was that on him or the receiver? He made a nice completion while being chased and about to take a shot and he missed on a couple of fades in the Endzone. Both of the Endzone plays were well defended but I thought he could have given his receiver a chane to fight for the ball on one of them but it was overthrown. He also a number of shots and seem a bit gimpy at the end. Hopefully plays long enough next game to get comfortable and have more success.
Cousins had a great night and the offense looks much more fluid and impressive when Kirk is running it. I don't think the battle for backup spot has been won but Kirk improved his position tonight. We've seen him light it up before in preseasons games and he was sharp. The offense looks more varied and dynamic when he plays and it seems they open up the playbook more with Kirk under center. Maybe the Skins don't feel comfortable calling bootlegs when Robert is playing after his ankle injury last season and his propensity to take shots. Whatever the case the offense looked multifaceted and very effective with Cousins. He made a number of good throws. I only saw two miscues. He hade trouble with a snap and missed his receiver in the Endzone. After what appeared to a poor exchange he rush to get his throw out was wide by a yard. They picked up TD on a running play. He also took a shack in the red zone. He got bailed out with a long field goal.
Colt played decently but didn't really have an opportunity to distinguish himself. He had bad field position and was hurt by Ross cutting his route short of the sticks on what would have been a nice first down. He went long and missed when he only need 2 yards for a first down on but maybe be that was the only open guy I couldn't see but I was surprised to see him throw that one down field. Hopefully Colt will get more time next game.
I think the Skins look improved over 2014 and I am looking forward to see if the Skins can show this sort of offensive balance next time. I want to see how the defense performs next week against to get a better read.
