If he "messes" up again.................he's GONE, per Scot.

"I can tell you, when he left my room, the guy was crying, the guy was sweating. He was so excited to be a Redskin. That's passion. That's what I'm looking for: competitiveness, toughness. He has to walk the line and he knows that. If he doesn't, then he's gone."

Civil suit against Junior Galette dismissed
Junior Galette is no longer facing a civil suit in Louisiana related to his arrest earlier this year for misdemeanor battery.

The Redskins linebacker was accused of injuring a woman at his house and she later sued on grounds of mental and physical abuse. The criminal charge was later dropped and the civil suit was dismissed on Monday because, per Mike Triplett of ESPN.com, the woman failed to appear in court or hire a new lawyer after her initial one left the case in March.

Galette’s attorney Ralph Whalen said in a statement that he expected this outcome all along.

“From day one, we were confident that the frivolous civil suit and meritless criminal case would be swiftly dismissed,” Whalen said. “The civil suit came only after we flatly rejected her ex-lawyer’s shakedown to pay her $2 million in exchange for their not filing this baseless suit. Now, Junior can focus on football and put this incident, where he did nothing wrong, behind him.”

Always have to remember not to rush to judgement on these things.

Junior Galette - LB - Redskins
The civil suit stemming from Redskins OLB Junior Galette's domestic-violence arrest has been dropped.
Galette's battery charge was dropped in February, and the suit disappeared after Galette's accuser failed to appear in court. Galette has made all sorts of negative off-field headlines, but he's thus far managed to evade the long arm of the law. Even the slightest slip up would likely cost him his Redskins roster spot.

 that's interesting - I wonder why ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Because he has a reputation. Which is also why this woman thought she could "shake him down."

I just don't think the "slightest slip up" is going to cause this kid to be let go like you guys apparently do

Given the circumstances of his arrival, I don't doubt that he might be on a shorter leash than other players. I'm just not that worried that he's really a problem guy who is going to have issues staying out of trouble.

I agree - I just think that this was overstating things ... Galette will show that he really appreciates the opportunity here

It's all in context:

The slightest slip up of "alarm didn't go off" thus he was late to practice? nah

The slightest slip up of driving drunk and crashing into people OR actual evidence of him hitting/assaulting a new individual? BAH BYE....!!!

if you think that a "slightest slip up" means something like that, you are way off base

this kid is under a certain amount of scrutiny because of what happened but he's not being cut for making a small mistake - give me a break

I do and I really am excited that Scot did the extensive background checks on this guy and was able to let Galette know he would be given a chance here because he (Scot) felt that he would respond well to the opportunity to be a part of what is happening here

this kid can play and I think his situation has been mis represented to a certain degree

he knows that this is a big chance these guys are taking and I think he'll respond well

The highlighted portion is not reporting. It's not a quotation. It's the opinion of an un-named voice speaking for Profootballtalk on NBCSports.com. We don't know what "slightest" means. Seems like a couple of our members pretty much deciphered the meaning and the reason un-named voice said it.

Much ado about not much.

I disagree that Galette will be let go for "even the slightest slip up" - Galette was given a opportunity here and he will be given a chance to show why ... he needs to do something that warrants letting him go and a "even the slightest slip up" is certainly not going to do that ... IMO
