Coming to USA for family reunion and will be flying cross country to DC for 24 hrs for my first and probably only Redskins game, vs Jaguars. I know there have been a lot of posts about best tickets etc, however I am looking for ideas on what I can do to get a once in a lifetime experience, drinks with fellow fans, tailgating, seating etc (although not rich, I have been saving for a few years for this). Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Great site guys, thought I had kept up with things since I watched my first game on tv in 1984, but the info here is mind boggling.

Since that's a pre-season game, you should be able to get a really good seat cheap. (I'd wait until the last minute our buy at the staduim...but since you're coming a long way you're best to get it before hand.) Come early, hook up with ExtremeSkins TG they do it up nice...Chris and Christy run it and they love welcomimg Redskins fans from all over!! Get a seat around sections 106-111 and you can get close to the tunnel...get a few autographed pregame and catch some of the memorabilia afterwards (if you're into that).

Thanks for that, ticket bought and looking forward to my first TG. Do people hang around after the game, or is there somewhere in town they go after?

Do you mean Chris and Christy (the

My friend, you will be absolutely fine after the game, I promise you that!!!
There will be literally HUNDREDS of people doing a post-game tailgate if we lose and THOUSANDS of people if we win the game.
It's a great experience no doubt because our parking area is friggin HUGE and usually people are just trying to give away food and drinks after the game to lessen the load.
I personally go up there with my *cough cough* medicine and beg my way around the parking lot for a beer. This turns into 2 beers and before long I'm drunk as hell going into the game.

Don't judge me.
