How this team can cut a player like Ifeanyi Ohalete and still keep a player like Ade Jimoh?

Don't worry, that one is coming too. They are just waiting to see how Walt Harris plays. It is strictly for depth. As soon as we see how he does, Ade is gone.
All Harris has to do is play ok and not get burned, and Iffy is gone.

Well...in my opinion...to provide "depth" at a particular position, you have to actually play well enough at that position to be relied upon.
Jimoh sucks big time. He's a waste of a roster spot, in my opinion. I would have rather kept Ohalete and try moving him to 5th string CB than keep Jimoh!
Then again, if Ohalete had a bad attitude in the locker room, I can see the reason why he was kicked to the curb.

Justice Hog asked the question:
In a different thread concerning this very thing, oafusp posted an article where Iffy himself admitted that he wasn't seeing "eye to eye" with Steve Jackson and was not using the techniques he wanted him to employ. But the move surprised me too.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but in my book a player of Ohalete's modest-at-best accomplishments not seeing eye-to-eye with his coaches just isn't an option.
I don't know much about Steve Jackson, but I know a little about Gregg Williams and a lot about Joe Gibbs, and when those guys tell you to change what you're doing, you might want to think about listening.
I think Iffy and Winey got the same message on the same day.

Whoa whoa whoa. Let's keep thinking clear. Trent Green, Shawn Barber, Stephen Davis, N.D. Kalu...these players weren't CUT. They were free agents, and weren't resigned. That is what is known as a "big difference." Iffy is a boderline Arena League talent...in short, he's awful. I'm surprised he didn't injure his neck Saturday night watching the WR's blow past him. No tears are shed, nothing is lost with his abscence. The only reason he started anyway was because of the Mark Carrier disaster. Now...time for Matt Bowen to be next....what a pathetic secondary (save for young Mr. Taylor).

I think Iffy forced this one... he probaly asked if he was in the plans for this year and was told at best he'd be a ST player. He knows he may be able to start elsewhere so he more than likely asked to be released now so he can catch on with another team.

Do you think money has a lot to do with it? We'd all expect Jimoh to get cut anyway, but let's just say that having Iffy or Jimoh around are about equal value to Gibbs (attitudes perhaps, and skills, etc.). My guess is that, worst case scenario, it's much better to be paying 150k than 950k for a player that you value just as much as the other.
