Get used to Joe Gibbs style football. Sound defense, the Hogs, strong run game, less reliance on QB but can strike at any time with good receivers.

I don't want to jinx anything. But Safety Collins is still available... last to 2nd? Do you want him?

Bummer, Detroit just took Thomlinson. I was hoping he'd last until our second pick. We need one like him.

I ate a snickera.. and am no longer Hangry.

This is a great pick for us, the line just got better and hopefully with the shuffle it can become much better. I was hoping for splash guys like Cooper or Williams... but that too is the Snyder fandom train of thought. Usually the picks that have less glamorous appeal are the long time greats.

Anxious to see this "bigger" team in motion!

If Snyder made decisions. We'd pick a flashy guy. I like the pick and decision making.

I dont think eneough of us were prepared for not only Williams being on the board but us passing on him too!

Looks like there are some more good prospects left for the oline beginning the 2nd round. Collins is "ranked" 2nd best available and I doubt he lasts 4 more picks.. but I'd like to see him in the Burgundy and Gold

Personally, I want to sit back and see what it looks like when we draft BPA from a competent GM's board — something I don't think I've experienced in my life as a Redskins fan. I expect that I'll be scratching my head at times.

Its a very good pick. We cant trust the so called experts on TV and websites. We have to just trust in our GM.

The more I watch film on Scherff the more I like him. Just look at how many times he puts an opposing player on his back. There is film of him stonewalling Gregory.

Dont be surprised if Scott picks players we might not have even heard of probably in the mid rounds. Our needs at Oline was glaring. We had to address it. Which is why we had to take the best player on Scotts board at the Olline.

Scherff is a cant miss prospect in my opinion. Maybe not at left tackle but certainly a starter who can play all five Oline positions. That is probably more valuable then a left tackle if you think about it.
Scherff can play left tackle and be solid and I expect will excell in run blocking.
Whats most important is the nastiness he brings to the team. He likes to punish players. This attitude is good for the whole team. Kudos Scotty Mac.

If Moses can step it up and improve dramatically then Moses should be able to play the RT spot and Scherff would dominate at guard. But from what we have all seen Moses needs a lot of work and most likely Scherff starts at right tackle.

But I am hoping that the addition of Scherff forces all of the other Olineman to step it up.

Does anyone know if the Skins brought in Gregory for a visit?

He would be absolutely BPA -- football wise, on the board at our pick. NOT even close. I know that off the field issues play a part, but could our older Defensive players get him to play football and forget about weed for a few years?

Could anyone of imagined us getting Scherff and Gregory with our first two picks?

That would be crazy, man! He almost has to be the best guy still on the board right now like you said (except for maybe La'el Collins). I don't know if the pot bust just completely took him off team's boards or not.

It should be noted that Collins was the guy a lot of Skins fans wanted to take first. You know if Bruce or Vinny was running the draft he'd be a Redskin by now.

I'm over my disappointment. I may continue to wistfully watch Sean Taylor's hair destroy running backs in NJ, but will buy into a resurgent OL in DC.

Scherff will play with an angry edge, and will drive those around him to do so as well. I expect much more physical play... accompanied by an increase in unsportsmanlike conduct penalties as the OL settles into it's new personality. I'm good with that. How else do you build a rep?

Imagine the kind of dominance required to tell a Hall of Fame DT what play you are going to run... And then do it NINE TIMES in a row!!! For those who don't know the story, it can be found HERE.

Ahhh. the Promised Land. I can't see it, yet... But, I think I can smell it.
Yes, please.

Dont think we take Gregory. he is way under weight to what most teams want, especially Scot... plus read there was some other undisclosed reason teams are steering away.

Doubt he will be there.... but Landon Collins being there is amazing, may even be worth trading up for a small price.

I like that list. I would also add that TE from Minnesota, Maxx Williams to the list. They say he's comparable to Jason Witten. I know none of us like any cowgirl players, but if we could get a 'Witten type' TE who could even give us 80% of the production Witten has given Dallas, I wouldn't mind that one bit. I know we pick 6th, so my top 6 +1 for round 2 are:

Gregory OLB
Williams TE
Strong WR
Harold OLB
Collins S
Odighizuwa DE

Davis DT
