Say Helu, I mean Goodbye to Helu

Sad to see you go brah. Best wishes but not if you play vs. Skins....lol

Raiders agree to deal with 3rd-down back Helu
Raiders agreed to terms with RB Roy Helu on a two-year contract.
If this is the extent of Oakland's offseason running back additions, it will bode well for Latavius Murray's chances of being a workhorse. It's also a nice signing by the Raiders. Helu, 26, has 4.4 straight-line speed and is one of the top pass-catching backs in football. He figures to change the pace behind Murray, and potentially replace him on passing downs. The Raiders intend to install more hurry-up, no-huddle packages under new OC Bill Musgrave. Because Helu is so versatile, he should work well in the fast-paced sets.

Sad to see him go as I know we didn't get the best out of him. I know injuries played a part, but he never really got a run or enough of the ball only coming on in 3rd down situations last year. He's got a lot more to his game than that in my opinion.

Good luck to him anyway.

Meh. See ya.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

Helu is a good player, however I don't think he fit our team. He would have been fantastic with the Patriots, a team that wouldn't require him to pass block and give him a full load.

Good luck to him!

I guess this means the coaches really like Silas Redd.

Good luck to Helu in Oakland. I was a big fan of his.
