3 NFL teams wanting to tap into Los Angeles
Could there be 3 teams "fighting" for Los Angeles county? There are 2 sharing the Meadowlands? (Jets/Giants)
So the Rams owner Kroenke also own land by/on Hollywood Park race tracks. He hasn't publicly stated that he will move the Rams there.
The Bolts and Raiders both are trying to get better venues in their market....BUT IF THEY CAN'T, both teams have talked about joining forces. They are looking at a plot of land adjacent to the 405 freeway in Carson CA.

Los Angeles has never supported an NFL team. Despite the attraction of a major population center, I can't imagine what has changed.

nothing has changed - this is all about money for the NFL - it's about the LA 'market' not the LA NFL fans
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

soooo... How do you make money, when there is no fan support? That's my point. It has NEVER been financially viable... And NEVER supported by the city.SkinsJock wrote:Countertrey wrote:Los Angeles has never supported an NFL team. Despite the attraction of a major population center, I can't imagine what has changed.

Well, well..........the City of Inglewood is a part of (apart) of Los Angeles. Separate but within. They have their OWN city council and Mayor.
They are SUPPORTIVE of a team in Inglewood but I know it will be called Los Angeles ______TEAM (fill in the blank)
Same thing goes for City of Carson. They have their own City Council and Mayor. BUT it will still be called Los Angeles Raiders or Chargers.
This is my take and it would only stand to reason for MARKETING purposes.
I grew up in Long Beach, also part of Los Angeles. These are my stomping grounds. But I'm a REDSKINS fan.....
I never liked the Rams or Raiders while growing up. The Bolts, I'm ok with.

Last I heard
the Jets were on track to get a new stadium in NYC, so that rules them out...
Gints? are perfectly fine at the new swamp I mean Meadowlands, Chargers?
could move to L.A.
wouldn't be that far of a hike up the coastline for them, Unless the Raiders
beat everyone to the punch and move back. But my guess is they won't
the bad boy persona of Oakland fits their style more

Talk is cheap. Every team that has ever tried has left.

I want to say teams have used the threat of moving to LA in order to get a stadium deal where they are. Not sure if that still goes on.

I think it's funny that the Rams are talking about moving back.

... and some have actually done it, and quickly moved back to Oakland... into the same stadium...

Who remembers when Bob Kraft used the state of CT to try and leverage a better stadium
from Massachusetts tax payers?
same story here, and the funny thing is?? it will work and the Rams idle threat
will disappear while getting what they want
