Free Agents - making the team better vrs getting paid

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Free Agents - making the team better vrs getting paid

Post by SkinsJock »

Suh has indicated that he'd like to be playing in a different uniform ... with the Seattle Seahawks ...

The Seahawks have a choice or maybe I should say that Russell Wilson has a choice ... get paid what you clearly deserve or take a little less and make the team better by being able to possibly bring in Suh PLUS be able to keep some other players they risk losing who also are going to be looking for a raise - Tom Brady is clearly the best QB in football but he makes sure his salary does not affect the team salary cap like Russell Wilson's new deal will ...

want to bet that Wilson is not the highest paid QB in the NFL soon and that will mean they cannot add the players they would like to add
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

My question is this

* why does Seattle consider a team obliterator like Suh when there are
plenty of guys out there, who better fit the Carroll mold and what he has
established all ready?

I don't think that Seattle will go after Suh but I do think that they're going to give Wilson a huge amount of money and that will hurt their ability to pay others what they are worth ...

some of these guys should look at the bigger picture - they can get paid really well but also help the franchise out by not making too much

case in point - Tom Brady

I don't see them putting their cap space in jeopardy
over 1 player who needs to get payed, especially
when? Seattle I am sure is enjoying their yearly
ride to the super bowl and all ready have 1 title
under their belts

Suh is desperate and wants out that part is clear, the problem is?
his name is a rash and problem child's like Suh, aren't the kind of
headaches they want currently especially when?

you are trying to build a championship caliber team full
of the right guys. That's why I don't see them or anyone
else going after this guy

I doubt that Suh goes to Seattle but I'm sure that Wilson will want to get paid and will not take less to help the franchise

I think he's worth every cent but he should keep in mind that it takes a team ...

he's got a chance to be the highest paid QB and he and his agent are going to want that - we shall see

Not getting carried away stating what could merely happen?
IF this kid continues down the same road, as he is traveling
in Seattle currently

he is groomed to win, give him a good offense and the
solid defense required. where else could he not go and
still be a world champ like he is currently with Seattle?

Now, this doesn't mean I think Seattle wins 4 in
a row..but even if he wins another 2 with the
Seahawks and then potentially another 1 with
someone else

I don't see how this kid could not end up better
then Brady?

I'm sure SOMEONE will offer Suh a huge contract. I'm not saying that would be smart, just that someone will.

Oakland likes to over pay players with no real end results perhaps they trade before the draft?
