Would you support a Cutler trade?

Post by Prowl33 »

It keeps getting mentioned in articles I read... they owe Cutler $25m this year and they may not wanna pay.

I would be open to it IF they eat half of that and we do a 1 year deal. Honestly if Cousins and Griffin arent going to cut it, he could be a solid 2 year solution to bide time to groom a rookie qb while we build our team.

NO. We already have a quarterback who can throw interceptions... and, as a bonus, he isn't a head case.

No. I think Cutler is nowhere near as bad as his own team does — seems like a mediocre to (at best) decent QB to me — but he's going to fetch good money on the market, and I doubt he's going to take a 1-year deal. Some team out there (maybe Arizona, for example) will give him more. This is a quarterback starved league.

Not really for any price. I didn't want him when he went to the Bears, and I would like it even less now. There's something really wrong with that dude's head. He's smart, but seems so dumb sometimes. Like he either doesn't get it, or maybe gets it but just don't give AF.

Absolutely not. I live here and frequently watch post game interviews with him and he's nothing but a total jerk. He blames absolutely everyone but himself. Griffin is such a better QB than this guy, in so many ways.

He was a perfect Shanahan clone. No personality, egomaniacal, and utterly sold on himself. We don't need that in our building!!!

No, I want the investments made to other parts of the team before the Skins think about another QB. Work on improving the OL and the defense for a couple of years and assess what we have in Cousins, Griffin and McCoy. Trading for Cutler would be another Snyder sellout the tickets marketing ploy.

I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

NO! - what a stupid idea - that's certainly not happening
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

hah. That's a good point man. It would definitely send a bad signal.

I still think Cutler is probably better than either of the QBs currently on our roster, but I can't even look at that guy. He seems like a total head case. Freaking mess. There is no way that guy could hold up under the pressure and scrutiny of being the Washington quarterback.

I don't want him at any price.
I'd much rather see how our existing QBs work behind a solid line before any major investment in a different punching bag behind the same line.

Lol... Rex was better than what we had at the time. I liked Rex. He obviously wasn't all that but, he still might even be better than what we have now. I liked what Robert did his rookie year but, at least Rex stayed healthy and didn't get gun shy after taking a beating. I can't say that much for the three we have now.

There is ZERO chance that Scot and Jay are bringing Cutler here - stupid question, no answer needed

We have 2 QBs and I like Rex but he does not come close to what Jay is looking for ...

these 2 will hopefully use the time to get ready to show they can be the type of QB that Jay wants and that they are going to do whatever is needed to get the job ...

IMO Cousins is the #1 QB right now - every indication has been that while Gruden used Griffin to finish the season he only did that because he thought he was the best at that time - I don't think that Gruden has given up on either Griffin or Cousins but Griffin definitely needs to 'up his game' a lot more than Cousins - Cousins just needs to make better decisions - Griffin has to remake the way he plays QB
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
