I've never bought this idea that Snyder is just going to kick back and count his dollars leaving other guys to completely run the team. (And I don't believe that EVERY successful team in the NFL operates that way.) Its his team, he bought it, what's the fun in that anyway?

I think/hope Snyder's involvement would be at like a 3 or 4 on your scale. Maybe he's sitting in meetings with the football guys, aware of what's going on but he's not casting a vote on players. They're spending his money, after all, so he should want to feel comfortable the GM knows what he is doing and has a good plan. He has a knack for closing the deal with free agents, so maybe he's involved sometimes with meeting those players, pitching them on coming to play.

I don't know. I'm sure some people want less involvement than what I've described, but that feels like a realistic guess to me.

I would love it if Snyder could keep it down to a 3 or a 4 I just think he's wired to be a 9-10 and it would take a real energy to restrain himself and than he wouldn't enjoy himself.

I think the only way to keep Dan from messing things up is, next time he is in his office, someone needs to nail his door shut & cut his phone line.

I sure hope the kid in the candy store (Danny)........has learned how to be and how NOT to be an owner. Let's keep hoping.

I think Snyder will take a step back as well….My question is why would he?? What has changed in the last 12 months that wasn’t there the previous 15 off seasons that made him go out and hire a “real” GM? I think it goes back to the RG trade, if reports are true; he was the architect of that trade. He probably had football people telling him not to do (see Manziel and Jerry Jones) it. Of course after winning the division he felt vindicated, and it would explain why he still wanted RG to start…but the bottom quickly fell out. Now here we are with the worst back to back seasons in 50 years and he sees that RG isn’t or may not be a NFL QB and certainly wasn’t worth the 4 picks he gave up for him. He sees Jones pass on Manziel, giving up a little control, and win the division. So I’m optimistic that he may have finally learned a tough lesson…
