DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys disagree on value

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys disagree on value

Post by DEHog »

It pains me to say this but the Cowboys are starting to run their team like a real NFL organization.
I wonder if the low offer has anything to do with the possibility of AP coming to Dallas...scary thought!!

The shelf life for RBs is just not very long, and Murray has an injury history as well as fumbling issues. RBs are pretty much a dime a dozen these days.

Agreed, he should absolutely try and get as much money out of whatever team he signs with.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

I certainly hope that our guys give Alf a huge payday at the appropriate time as well ... :D
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Not me. A good payday would be fine but nothing extravagant.

PS - I wonder what Joe Gibbs could have gotten Mark Brunell for? He was benched in 2003 by the Jags then traded to us. Gibbs signed him for 7 years to the tune of 43 MILLION dollars.

Oddly enough, he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2010.

Makes sense. The Cowboys ran him into the ground this year in their last-ditch effort to put together a championship season with this roster, so they got almost all of the value out of him they could. Now it's time to pay Dez and let Murray go fishing elsewhere — my prediction is that he doesn't get more than $5 million/year from another team. It's Chris Johnson 2.0.

Running back just isn't that valuable of a position anymore, even for the best players at the position. Too easy to find replacements, as youth and freshness seem to matter more than skill in many cases.

No they aren't

back up's are failing to be developed, Romo
still has Wilson as a QB coach, and when it
is time to crunch down the #'s

The right "talent" is being replaced
by the wrong talent, while areas of
great need are continually neglected

so...

If Murray is tossed away like they
did with Ware, it will be because
of incompetence not because they
are running this circus like a real
organization
