On this, we completely agree.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

I think your original point was correct. I don't buy that these successful NFL owners just "own" the team and never have any involvement. That's ludicrous. Robert Kraft was involved in both firing Bill Parcels and hiring Bill Belichick.

IMO Snyder needs a capable GM giving him reliable advice, and he needs to put some trust in that advice. I agree with SJ otherwise that's probably where the line should be drawn. Snyder has no business making player decisions, draft decisions, free agents, etc;

Most NFL owners find a way to be involved without getting any attention - Dan Snyder needs to learn how to do that

IF Dan would let this organization be managed by others, like other owners do, in time, he would get the credit he so dearly wants BECAUSE the franchise would be successful

This franchise can be turned around but it has no hope of doing that with Snyder behaving as he has - NONE

if these guys bring in a real GM and give him the power to run things (including NOT being 'under' Bruce Allen) things will change here

hopefully Dan has finally decided to do what he should have done 15 years ago ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The only time I've seen Dan Snyder in the past six months is when they've shown a shot of the owner's box during a game. Its not like he's doing interviews in the middle of MNF like Jerry Jones. He's not prancing around on the sideline like Arthur Blank. I haven't heard him speak in months.

The reason Snyder gets attention is 1) because the team is such a freaking disaster and 2) because of the QB controversy and speculation about his part in it.

Done Deal per Sheffty 4 year deal...Sheffty also said the only reason he was availible was because of his personal issues...

McCloughan says he is a healthy one-beer guy on his farm in Ferndale, Wash. But how will he react to the pressure that comes with being a GM again while working for a notoriously difficult owner with a history of overriding general managers and who likes to share Tuscan wine and Crown Royal with members of the front office?
