I have heard the argument. But let us analyze it in more detail:
Yes, Snyder will be paid his share of TV ratings REGARDLESS of the ridicule put on the field any given season.
BUT the other side of the coin is:
1) No, the overall value of the franchise will go down if the fan base stops attending over-priced games and supporting at the Stadium (Washington currently stands as the 9th most expensive franchise in sports worlwide

2) As a consequence, some sponsors and advertisers may pull out or demand lower deals (as they also grow increasingly uncomfortable with the additional mismanagement of the name of the team by the stupid Snyder propaganda machine);
3) Sales of team paraphernalia and over-priced food and drinks go down;
4) players and the NFL lose value.
Worst thing a fan can do is to put money into Snyder's pockets. Just a matter of time before blind loyalty turns into downright anger as it has for some of us.
