They mailed-it-in most of last season as well.

The severity of the team/franchise problems are at a historic level.

I'm starting to think of ways the fans could galvanize and try to force Snyder to sell the team. I highly doubt there are many fans that like him at all, let alone his ownership of the team. If we could boycott the games, products, etc., then he might be forced to finally sell. Empty stadiums and no returns on merchandise can make a difference. Personally, I feel like the team will NEVER improve so long as that man owns it.

I agree this is ending even worse than the end of the Shannahan era last season when we all knew Snyder was going to fire the coach.

Every fan I know feels Snyder will never produce a real winner. It's been almost 20 years it might be another 30 or more before the Skins win again, I'm 63 so I'll be dead by then.

don't be a wimp of a HC - be a Gruden ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

That is a major problem which falls on the coaching. If you can't get the players to play hard for you, then you're not a very good head coach. I've seen this far too much this season. While I would love to replace a lot of the players on this team, you can't get rid of all 53, which is why I wouldn't be shocked to see Gruden one and done.

These are supposedly professional football players, if they can't motivate to play on Sundays then they aren't the type of players that we need. This whole idea of coaches motivating players is vastly overblown - this is real life not a Hollywood movie.

Not to mention this isn't high school anymore. Being a player on an active roster in the NFL should be motivation enough.

This is one high pressure town to work in ...

this from Jason Reid yesterday ... "Not the same Jay Gruden today. Looks beaten down. Acknowledged pressure of this job more than he expected. Seen this play before. Not good..."

I think that Jay has had a really tough first year but I still believe this guy can help the franchise if the franchise gives him more to work with ... then again I still believe that there's a chance (admittedly small) that Griffin can develop into a decent QB

this was just a tough game all round ...

onto the Giants - hopefully the good B&G guys show up at the Meadowlands

Well said, man.

I think the players are motivated to play on Sunday. I just don't think they're mentally tough. We've been a losing franchise for decades now, and the past two years in particular we've just been terrible. You can just see it in games when they start to go wobbly. Vs. the Rams, for example, the offense comes out and puts together a nice drive to start the game but when the drive ends in an INT its like, "Here we go again". They don't expect to win. And when the wheels start coming off the wagon in games, they're playing scared and making mistakes.

How many rah rah halftime speeches can you give?
