I hope McCoy can go next week but if he can't because of a neck strain I don't want Griffin I'd rather see Cousins play. At least Kirk understands the offense and is worth investing time with unlike Griffin.

The whole franchise, except Alfred Morris, is one big dumpster fire.

there were a lot of bad things to see today but I cannot get over the lack of energy and effort from Jay Gruden

what's with this guy - he needs to get after players and coaches when they're not doing their jobs

Not a good day from anyone on that sideline

this could get very messy
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

And DeSean Jackson. Did you see what the passing game looked like today without him?

It just gets worse and worse and worse.

Maybe I would enjoy being a Redskins fan more if I expected them to lose every game, every year. Then I could enjoy my beer and football food, the Redskins band the cheerleaders, while watching the spectacle .... Heck, I might even be unexpectedly surprised 3 or 4 times year. That sounds a lot better to me than working up my expectations every off season, only to go through this agony every December.

Outside of Garcon and Kerrigan, no one on this team looked like they gave any effort.

This is like watching the last days of an alcoholic. You know they are going to bottom out, spiraling out of control, you cannot help and you just don't know when they are going to bottom out.
It seems like the conscience left the team when Jowls left, he would have been ripping as**es apart both offense and defensive. He would have been going up and down the sidelines howling mad and telling it like it is. Nobody would have been spared. He set a high standard, lived up to it and expected no less from anybody else, including the coaches.
We lost more than a single player when he retired. Nobody has stepped up to relace him and we need that guy to come forward now.

It would be nice if it took until December before we had to start dealing with agony...this team is usually done by the midpoint of the season...

That is a major problem which falls on the coaching. If you can't get the players to play hard for you, then you're not a very good head coach. I've seen this far too much this season. While I would love to replace a lot of the players on this team, you can't get rid of all 53, which is why I wouldn't be shocked to see Gruden one and done.

we seem to win the over reaction award each year and this situation is only going to get worse here ...

The Redskins FO and HC need to step up and regain control ...

really disappointing

Firing Gruden would be monumentally stupid, IMO.

No matter what the truth is, Griffin will be perceived as a coach killer.

What coach is going to want to come here, knowing that if you don't side with Griffin/Snyder, you're out of a job?

While I agree it would look bad if we fired him after one season, I cannot discount the terrible game we played after the bye week, and the fact that we appear to be mailing it in right now. That is never a good sign for a coach. It actually screams BAD COACHING to me. Say what you will about Tom Coughlin and the Giants, but his team is not just "playing out the string" like we apparently are.

Lack of energy and effort from Jay Gruden?

Seriously, whatever happens at the end of this season, this fan base pretty much deserves it at this point.

Yeah but the HC didn't score enough points or make any interceptions. :)

Coughlin has a better team. And he still lost to the Jaguars.

Well Gruden has stated (3pm presser) that Griffin, at this time, would start this week's game if Colt cannot go

Gruden said "at this time" with regards to Griffin getting the nod. Then went on to state that he hasn't given up on Cousins, and hasn't seen enough from him, AND that he definitely thinks he could get another shot this year.

another piece from that news conference was that Gruden indicated he also thinks that Kirk Cousins should get a shot at playing QB

going to be interesting material for all the doubters here over the next few games

I'm with you, man. Right now, they seem like they'd rather just forfeit these games than be on the field.
