Jeff Fisher trolls Skins

Post by fabe »

Prior to the Rams' 24-0 win over the Redskins on Sunday, Fisher sent Janoris Jenkins, Michael Brockers, Zac Stacy, Stedman Bailey, Greg Robinson, and Alec Ogletree to midfield for the coin toss. All six of those players were acquired as a result of the Rams' blockbuster Robert Griffin III trade with the Redskins in 2012.

Pretty classless. Of course that's par for the course from Fisher. I never cared for him, think he's a tool, and I feel like his team follows his lead in that respect.

Pretty classless, but hilarious at the same time.

Jeff Fisher is a respected HC - you need to remember these guys are in the 'entertainment business' and I don't think this was mean't in a derogatory way or taken in a derogatory way ...

Jeff Fisher IMO made the trade with us happen rather than making a deal with the Browns at #5 - that was a good thing

In retrospect, this was a terrible trade but it was made by Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder not Jeff Fisher

AND

IMO - Fisher was not taking a jab at Gruden or the players

he might have been taking a jab at Bruce and Dan (Dumb and Dumber II) because Fisher is a friend of Shanahan

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I honestly took it as a joke, since the trade was, in essence, a joke...... and it (at least what Fisher did with the player for the coin toss) was hilarious.

The trade, on the other hand, will haunt this team for years.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

I didn't have any problem with it, because Snyder is the butt of the joke.

as I alluded to - Mike & Jeff are old time buddies - if Jeff was doing 'anything', it was making fun of Snyder

no big deal http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-foo ... -shanahan-

Eh, I disagree that it's the trade that's really going to set us back. It doesn't take teams that many years to recover from even big draft mistakes. With a decent coach, a decent quarterback, and a solid plan going forward we'd be competitive within two years.

Yes, our odds at fielding a great team anytime in the next 3-4 years is low, but the trade isn't the reason why. We've already "paid off" half of that natural "penalty" or more, I think. (I mean, RGIII can't even kill our cap. If we part ways in the next year, it will be like he was never here.) Now that we have all our draft picks again, it's far more important what we do going forward.

^^ what he said

the problem with some here is they keep looking back and finding reasons not to have any optimism about the future - it's there for sure

c'mon guys - this franchise has been one of the worst in the NFL for a number of years and even Dan Snyder is going to see that the main reason for that is looking at him every time he looks in the mirror

why not hope that he decides to do something rash here in about a month or so ... like get together with his HC and his GM and ask them what they need to get things going here again OR call Joe Gibbs and ask him that same question OR call anyone with any sense and ask

I feel sorry for those that continue to look back and see nothing but pain going forward ..

have a little faith - sooner or later, Dan is going to wake up - he's not a complete idiot

No fun when the rabbit has the gun. Cardinals 12, Rams 6

Nice game Cards. Cardinals brought out 6 guys at the coin toss to represent the total amount of points the Rams would score against them.

In Redskins news...both teams got what they wanted to in the draft, really arent any winners or losers unless one wins the SuperBowl. Rg3 looked good until he got injured. Looks bad now but doesnt make the Redskins dumb for trading the picks, cannot predict injuries.

Normally I wouldn't care about the outcome between Arizona and the Rams, but I'm glad the Cardinals won. Fisher had that shot coming to him:
“I love it when nobody says you have a chance to win,” Arians said. “There is an 11-3 team and a team that is always 8-8. You figure it out.”

There really isn't ever a good time to do something classless like Fisher's cointoss taunt. You always end up on the receiving end sooner or later.

I disagree that the Megabust isn't holding the team back. Had Shanny been able to draft sensibly 2012 I think he'd still be here because he was allowed to draft 4 other starters and would have won more.

really a very good point FFA - a lot of the anti Griffin fans are not going to like this but the reality is we now have all our picks & if Snyder can let the NFL guys make the decisions there's a very good chance that we can start to add the coaches and players that suit what Gruden wants to do here - just adding players the way we've been doing for 15 years has not worked

IT's TIME TO CHANGE THE WAY WE DO THINGS HERE
