Re: This makes me sick
Let's look at the sequence ... Dan & Bruce decide to make a trade to be able to bring in RG3 ... 2 seasons later they get rid of the HC and OC and bring in a HC who, with the former TE coach, is mainly brought in here to make sure that RG3 can play QB for the Redskins
After 1 season, that HC has determined that the QB has no future in the NFL and is a distraction to both the team and the HC
and now - The HC feels we need to get rid of RG3 and let the same guys that created the mess we're in and let him (who cannot seem to find a way to win with some incredible offensive weapons) - keep on doing what has not worked here
this is not good folks and yes - it makes me sick
and some of you think it's all going to get better if we just get rid of RG3 - get out of here with that BS

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Re: This makes me sick
Things will never get better until Snyder and his hand picked puppet (incompetent in terms of being a GM) Bruce Allen are gone. And that wont happen for many years. Therefore here is my prediction on the Redskins record for the next 6 seasons.
2015 Redskins Record 3-13
2016 Redskins Record 2-14
2017 Redskins Record 4-12
2018 Redskins Record 3-13
2019 Redskins Record 2-14
2020 Redskins Record 3-13
Prepare yourselves for at least 2 more decades of misery. Thank you Danny Boy Snyder.

Re: This makes me sick
I thought this was an interesting read about mobile qbs with Kaeperneck and it could relate to Robert. There is a video on the top about him going over his game against Seattle. On the bottom there is a discussion is Robert a bust? One spoke about Steve Young being a bust with Tampa, but when he was in the correct system he was a hall of famer.

Re: This makes me sick
^ thats the thing thats overlooked.. Roberts talent and athletic ability be it with his legs or arm. He CAN make good decisions but has been slow tonpull the trigger. System? Time? Maybe. Either way its not a farcry to think he can be coached up and improve on the things that arent relayed to his natural abilities. You cant teach speed. You CAN teach a ab how to find the soft spot in a zone.
I am not blind to his lackluster performance this year... but im all to familiar with us getting rid of someone talented and them having success on a team that isnt a joke. I really hope we dont let him go for dirt cheap (compared to the steep price we dropped) just to see a team polich him up into something great.
...but im coming to terms with that being a syrong possibility.

^ Of course he can be coached under the right system. But he isn't listening to his coaches and his coaches don't believe in him. That's a sign for failure. Don't get me wrong if he is under the right system if the Redskins don't hold onto him. He will scorch the Redskins next time he faces them.

OK - I did not know this for sure - we had heard it might be the case - thanks for letting us in on this ...
as a matter of interest only - please let us know where I can see (in writing) that his coaches stated this ...
again, big thanks for this information

Re: This makes me sick
i have a relative who works for the Redskins. I heard from a person who was told by the employee that he isn't listening to his coaches to stay in the pocket. So I can't give you an article just that. But you have to remember in August Gruden was telling Robert to throw it away and he decided to run and give fans a show (from ONLY my perspective that's when him not listening to his coaches begun). I don't know the 100% truth of Gruden giving up on him, just that they are annoyed he isn't listening.

Re: This makes me sick
The source was that he isn't listening to his coaches to stay in the pocket. Thats all. There are plenty of articles that he isn't listening to them and that Gruden gave up on him. I don't want you to get confused, because I was a little sloppy on my writing.
Re: This makes me sick
no worries - I think there's a lot of basis for a lot of the bad things that are being reported - I'm also sure that these are a little more exaggerated to try and make a worse picture than it really is ...
I'm also sure that there's a lot of blame to go around for the lack of progress on Robert's part but IMO a lot of that blame is also on the coaches and that is not being made as big a deal as it warrants
I'm hoping for the best here but ... even if RG3 magically becomes an NFL QB here and Allen and Snyder are still making all the calls here next season - we are still in a world of trouble - these guys have shown that they are incredibly good at screwing up this franchise

Re: This makes me sick
I think Robert needs better protection and better calls for him. But he is to blame for having poor pocket presence. The media loves to make bigger stories out of a struggling situation.

Though the personnel were mostly the same, the 2012 line didn't do too bad, but there was the crutch of the read option.
I believe scheme is almost everything. If what I read was true, the Broncos discovered that the Seahawks ran the exact same coverage every play. After they found them out, they were picked apart.
Same is true with Robert. He's been found out. He could learn a new scheme sure, but his mind is broken; like he has football PTSD. We can thank our oline for that; if it were merely the read option's fault he would have been over it the minute it was virtually removed from the play book.
I don't think Robert can be good here again; I do think he'll come alive if he went elsewhere though. Pisses me off.

According to Jason Reid, Gruden may be one and out. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/re ... story.html
I personally believe Robert is owed too much money in 2016. We shall see.

Griffin is megabust 3 firsts and 1 second for an epic flop Fran Tarkenton explained Griffin's failure this way.

Re: This makes me sick
At this moment, Griffin is owed nothing in 16. He's due 4-5 mil in 2015. Skins have a team option for double digit millions (don't remember the exact number) in 16.
If we take that option, Danny is still running this *sh$t* show!

As a polisci major who did about as best as you could in that field of undergrad study, I can tell you with 100% certainty that the major does absolutely nothing to turn somebody into a politician, or whatever it is you are trying to imply.
