Have to give him credit, he's probably the only one still on the RGIII version of the Titanic.

No.

He's just blinded by these Burgundy and Gold tainted glasses, and refuses to admit that Griffin was a bust.

I've been thinking of adding some more posters here to my foes list ... and I just did

thanks FFA - I don't see that guy's posts anyway so it's not a big deal to me

FWIW - I am still a very solid Redskins fan and I think that Gruden will give Griffin some time ... we shall see :D
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

WOW - I did not know how much easier it is to just see the posts from those who IMO have something to add to the situation here

I'm cool with it. Colt played well and Rob sucked. If you play like a steaming turd, you sit on the bench. You have to hold everyone accountable.

I don't like the idea of continuing to start him where other players would have been benched, the excuses being "because he's special" or "the wasted draft picks" or "he needs more practice, who cares if we lose out and the rest of the team gives up because we're starting an awful QB that can't do his job." You string terrible games together = you sit. It sets the correct tone for the rest of the team.

He'll be here next season to see how he bounces back. If he's the player we drafted him to be, he'll be humble and mature and learned some important lessons about this level of football. If not... adios.

OMMFG. Could you imagine? Romo hurts his back one too many times and Griff "goes back home" and plays for the star?

Starting McCoy makes sense. First, the fans need to have hope that the Skins can and will compete and with ticket prices down to $7.00 on StubHub Snyder couldn't protect Griffin any further. Frankly at this point Griffin supports are starting to resemble some of those old Japanese soldiers stranded on islands still fighting the war 20 years after it ended. Their loyalty is beyond question but sad and foolish. Second, the rest of the team deserve to work with a QB that understands what he sees on the field and what he is suppose to do and McCoy appears to be able to do and thus far he has been able to execute without the excessive picks that Cousins threw. I wish him well. It would be fun to see the Skins win a couple of games and go into 2015 with a little momentum and hope.

Maybe through an intermediary team. I highly doubt we would trade Bob within the division, or even conference.

OH MY GOD!!!

Can you imagine if the Rams made an offer for him?!?!? Like a 4th or 5th round pick...

Man, that would make the Skins trade up for RGIII the worst bit of business in the history of the NFL - all ends up!!!!

Colt McCoy in his pregame interview just before beating Dallas:

“I’m good, I’m good,” Colt McCoy told ESPN’s Lisa Salters before taking the field at AT&T Stadium for his first start since December 2011. “We had a good warmup, had a good week of practice. …
I’m going to lead these guys.

It will interesting to see how the team reacts. I'd imagine every single guy will do his job better thinking doing so will be rewarded with better play from the QB position.

I'd agree - just like they do each and every week - be great to take down the #1 pick from the 2012 draft :D

all the best Colt - find a way to get it done - RG3's got your back

I just listened to Gruden's Q&A, and it sounds like that was a big part of his reasoning. "We're looking for answers on offense," "hopefully Colt gives us a spark," etc. It sounds like he's sending the right message to the team to me. Frankly, I've been very impressed with Gruden's handling of what is one of the hottest potatoes in all of professional sports: the Redskins' quarterback position.

I don't understand why Griffin is #2 on the depth chart. Do we really want a QB who's been that ineffective to play if McCoy gets injured?

I am surprised -even here- to find an opinion of being "impressed" by Gruden's handling of the QB situation. He has made it far worse than it needed to be. RGIII has played poorly but Gruden has been beyond poor in his handling of the situation.

How has he been beyond poor? He spelled it out in his presser: if you don't play well, you lose your job. Griffin hasn't played well over 3 games therefore he lost his job. And McCoy never really did anything to lose the job in the first place, therefore he's starting again.

for the record.....I like Jay. I hope he turns this ship around, with or without Bob.
He's a straight shooter and does not sugar coat. And it seems the FO is giving him leeway in the operations.
