Bucs-Redskins postgame thread

oH, when will things get better for this team? Like I said in the game thread, they took the BUCs lightly..........and got socked in the face.

Probably had the same thought process against the Vikings, oh easy win. I'm done with them this season lol. Be nice to see the draft and working on the oline in the draft and free agency. I honestly can predict another 3-13 season.

At least the team will have the 1st round pick.

The two most crucial games coming into the tough stretch and we just blew it. Awful.

One thing folks fail to realize is we didn't overlook anyone. We didn't think these were going to be easy wins. Teams like the Patriots, Seahawks at home, etc. think like that. We are not a good team and both the Vikings and Tampa are better than us. In the Vikings game there were people wide open for TD's that Bridgewater missed, and not because we were harassing him in the pocket. Tampa just beat us by 20, they are a better team.

Skins fans say these are games we should win. Well guess what, the fans of Minnesota and Tampa were saying the same thing. Do you really think they entered the game thinking, man, I just hope we can hang in there with this 3 and whatever team.

Reality stinks sometimes, whether it's I can't run, jump, move like I use to, or the Skins just aren't good this year. We can look forward to next year, but I wish we could start putting our sights on next year sometime in the January-February timeframe rather than early November.

Oh well, I don't post a lot, but I just had to get this off my chest. Blessings and well wishes to all. Take Care.

Well that one hurt. Reminded me a bit of last year's Kansas City game when it was clear that basically the whole team just didn't care anymore.

At least Keenan Robinson was a beast. And is it just me, or is Baushad Breeland now our #1 CB, taking on the best receivers? That's nice to see.

I think we have a couple of good young corners that will get better. They do tend to go after Breeland. He is having a good rookie year.

The skins players are professional athletes. I hope they are intelligent enough to understand how talented EVERY player is in the NFL and that on any given day any team can beat another ---- and play each week accordingly. I believe this to be the case --- and because of this I do not believe we "looked over" MIN or Tampa. We just got beat.

As far as the game, I am not sure I even want to discuss what needs to be "upgraded" or worked on only because I will be labeled by the hogs.net masses in a certain way. Losing has made people a little sensitive; IMHO because it has proven a good deal of people wrong. This team needs upgrades at a good deal of positions both on the field, coaching, and FO. However, the constant turnover of players, coaches, and FO is one of the major issues with the franchise --- so it's a double-edged sword in a way. We just need to have a couple good drafts and follow the model set by the Packers, Pats, etc. who load up draft picks and draft successfully. Personally, I think Snyder is incapable of doing or having the patience for that, so we'll see.....

And to DaveD1420 --- that is the way it is here. If you don't think the skins are going to win the NFC east and make the playoffs in week 1, you are a troll. I have gotten used to being a troll -- who also happens to live, breath, and sleep all things redskins..... go figure That being said, there are some pretty football knowledgable people here who know redskins football --- and a lot less "crazys" than at extremeskins.

I have a prediction that one of two things will happen:

1) Robert will play really well next year (during his contract year, mind you), and we'll re-sign him to a fat contract and continue to ride the RG3 train.

2) Robert won't progress next year, and after being released by the 'Skins, he'll go to another team and find success with them.

If history repeats itself, then one of these two scenarios should be the future for Robert.

My sentiments exactly. The dumpster fire that is the Redskins team now is not all Griffin's fault at all. It's not even 10% Griffin. But, Griffin simply does not deliver anything near what is needed from his position and especially from the promise of hat he was supposed to deliver. I'm sure there are factors that inhibit him doing that in the present offensive scheme, but if he can't deliver, then he can't. Gruden is not going to use Kyle's 2012 offensive playbook.

The Redskins have a great running back, what appears to be a decent WR corps, a select few decent defensive players and... well, I though they had a good FG kicker. As far as a coaching staff? I don't know, yet, if Gruden can evolve. I like to think he can because he comes from good stock and has something to prove in the league to be a real success. Jim Haslett should have been released 2 years ago, at least.

If they can build by starting with offensive and defensive lines, then it might change. But, you need the right players and good coaches and just a good mix of all of them as a team.

I desperately want them to succeed.

Yes. The Redskins executives will sell the fans something that will "justify" starting Robert. They'll sell them "Oh look, we got him new offensive linemen and an extra TE to play opposite Reed. Robert will be good now!" That's just an example, but there's no doubt in my mind that they will find some way to sell the fans the idea of Robert being the QB. If I were Gruden, I would just quit. You can't coach a football team when you have that Snyder constantly reworking the roster just so that he can profit more, and more, and more money off of this team. A man like that doesn't know the first thing about football; he only knows how to SELL football. Seriously, Gruden, just quit dude. Your chance of being successful is slim.

I just wanted to come here and say that not only I'm sad because my beloved team ______. The thing that saddens me the most is that after +20 yrs of rebuilding stories I have believed over and over again, today it doesn't look like we are going to have a winning team in the near future.
RG3 was just another piece in the marketing scheme of a franchise focused only in making money. Pride? History? The Fans? naaaahhhh!!!! Losing fans? no problem, let's go with the name change stuff to get 'em back.
Next yr we'll buy the new cap, jersey or whaterever new item the marketeers will push for us to fall again in the trap... Next year we'll again check the draft, the FA period, the new schedule, the OTAs and all the hoopla surrounding the team with new stories of hope, QBs of the future, controversies, new renowned coaches, FO personnel and all thart keep us around.

I'd be shocked only because I don't see how there is any going back from that. You basically have to say, "we've seen enough from Robert and we're moving on" if they were to bench him for McCoy right now.

It was just 2 years ago when Griff could say no wrong. Now he puts his foot in his mouth every time he opens it. This presser was bad. On one hand, he said these things:

“All the sacks are on me, period.”

“When I say, ‘All the sacks on are me,’ I’m saying I can do better and I have to do better.”

“I will be the first to say I could have done better, a lot better.”

“I didn’t see the field as well as I would have liked to.”

“I am not going to sit up here and make excuses. I haven’t watched the film yet but I know there are some plays that I would like to have back.”

“I’m not good.”

On the other hand, he said this:

“It doesn’t just take one guy and that is proven. If you want to look at the good teams in this league and the great quarterbacks, the Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Mannings, those guys don’t play well if their guys don’t play well.

Indeed I'm PISSED. Only thing remotly close to how I'm feeling today, is the way I felt during the 11 game losing streak to the Clownboyz in the late '90s early '00s...

No doubt in my mind that players are upset with him playing. DJax, Garcon, Moss to name a few.
