Offense: Im worried here. Ramsey is not a 1st string QB yet. He's still lacking the fundamentals. He's botching snaps, he's still calling 1000 audibles, he's holding on to the ball too long, he's not opening clear passing lanes. Brunell, although didn't look sharp is our clear starter. Most of his incompletions seemed to be due to unfamiliarity with the receivers. It takes a few games to get used to receivers. Portis has failed to impress me again... I know its early but I was expecting a little more, but we're having some issues with the o-line so hopefully it'll work out. The pass protection is good, and the run blocking looks good and I know will only get better.
ey is going to be a great H-Back. He's not physical enough for me though, on some of his receptions he should have been putting his head down and nailing those CB's.
Rock C. is going to be a good special teams contributor. So is Thrash.
Iffy... Now we know why your *** got benched. He botched 2 plays, and injured one of our own men.
S. Taylor. The boy is the Ray Lewis of this team. He is every where, on every play you see #36 in the vicinity! The forced fumble was beautiful.
The Defense is general played well, he held S. Davis out of the endzone which felt good. The 70 year old QB kept running the ball on us, I was so happy when that LB knocked his *** backwards. Gregg has these boys tackling, we didn't used to tackle, lol.
SPECIAL TEAMS! Those boys are killing! Man, I can't remeber who that kid was that we returning the kick offs, but he needs to be put in place. I'd almost say let Morton go. I can't believe we're paying that much for a return man. That kid doens't dance around much, he'll make a cut and hit the whole. The coverage is getting better and is improved from last week.
But that's to be expected. Once the running game establishes itself... either QB will look considrably better. The protection last night from the STARTERS was pretty good and against a solid d-line.
