^ ok... i want to say me 4...
Let me first say that I love O'SACKPO! I liked the draft choice.. Proudly sport his jersey, liked what he gave us when healthy, like his sense of tradition, his embracment of the leadership role... I LOVE his hate for Dullass, although he statistically fails to get Romo down more times then not. It made me super happy to see his doodle board just before going into surgery this week that read "Beat Dallas!! HTTR". Hell I even like the caveman commercials in all their ridiculousness!
BUT- do we have that luxury? He has established a name for himself and will want to be paid. We have a second rounder grooming to take his spot- and holes EVERYWHERE!!! I just dont see a scenario where we can afford to roll the dice on him. We need so much other pieces that I fear he is just a luxury we, sadly, wont be able to afford- similar to OMG.

I know what you're saying man. But I think his price tag is going to come down considerably this offseason. What team is going to look at his recent production and injury history and pay him elite money?

You might be right that his price tag is still more than we can afford, but I don't think its a foregone conclusion that he won't be back.

I thought you said this would be the last we would see of Rak in B & G? Either way, i get what everyone is saying about Rak and his salary but I think some of you are undervaluing him as an overall OLB. His sacks might not be there this year (however he's been around a 9 sack per year guy for his career until this year) and he took himself out of plays sometimes getting up field too fast but he's been pretty good against the run and in the pass game. Brian Baker, highly regarded OLB coach, stated shortly after arriving that Rak and Kerrigan were some of the best OLB's in coverage he had ever seen. I haven't seen anything from Murphy that makes me think he's an upgrade or even a competent replacement for Rak yet but i hope i'm wrong. He's not explosive or fast and he's not gonna beat people off the edge and i have some big time concerns about him covering in the flat. It remains to be seen if his bull rush is something that will give LT's trouble but keep in mind he's played in almost all passing downs without a single sack or to my knowledge a TFL this year. I hope this kid is a good one but just because Rak hasn't lived up to our expectations doesn't mean Murhpy will exceed them, time will tell.

Trent Murphy has looked great for a rookie of late, imo. He's even done a few spin moves which freed him up, which I've never even seen Orakpo try.

spin move - Brian tried one and he tore his pectoral ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
