I disagree with these. I hope the chamber is empty.

:hmm: so you think that the medical people are making a mistake in clearing him to play and that he's most likely going to hurt himself

what is the basis for that assumption - are you more privy to Griffin's medical stuff than the Redskins staff?

where are you guys coming up with this stuff?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

Careful. I never said he was most likely to hurt himself. Simply put I don't trust our staff. I really have no reason to. History tells me their agenda includes things besides player health. If you use the Russian roulette metaphor I feel that there's maybe a one in six chance something really bad happens. Again I could be wrong on all of this and I hope I am but I've stated my opinion very clearly. I've also clearly stated my basis for that opinion. Some feel I have no basis and others think it's not even an opinion. That's fine with me. I know what I think and why ... just go back and read through the posts and you will too.

I would not say that I trust the staff implicitly but I do NOT agree think that the medical staff would let Griffin play if there was even the smallest chance that his ankle is not strong enough ...

AND - I don't agree with those that feel his ankle is going to be a factor ... we shall see

Griffin's chances of getting hurt in this game are to me just the same as they would be in 2 weeks or next season

I'm hoping the play calling/game planning take into account that Griffin is a little rusty - he has to get rid of the ball VERY quickly

simply - this is an important game - NOT because we are 3-5 - this is why Gruden was brought here, to help Griffin reach his potential and to design plays that take advantage of his talent and mitigate things like his passing accuracy as he develops

AGAIN - I don't think the health factor of Griffin's ankle decides this game - this game is decided by the rest of the team playing & coaching like they did in the last game

this teams focus and effort in the Houston game was VERY different than what we saw in the Monday night game
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

Compton is healthier than Polumbus and either just as good or better. Cooley said Polumbus had zero punch in pass pro.

I say Compton sees a chance to get a job and is probably playing with much more passion. Compton would be a great guy to watch when watching the game. I think we're running read option to the right side. Griff can hand to Alf or not hand to Alf and take off or not hand to Alf and pass. If he takes off to the right side he can plant the right foot (good ankle) and cut upfield. If he fakes the handoff and passes he can plant the right foot and pass comfortably. Compton is key in all of these scenarios. It actually makes the guy Compton is blocking think a lot and that's good for Compton. Likely to motion a tight end in that direction as well. Might see some double teams.

I look for ballet-like movies on the left ankle as opposed to plants and cuts. Kind of like the jitterbug we all saw on video before the Dallas game. That was good flashy stuff but I have yet to see him run plant the ankle and make a hard cut. I'd love to see it and be wrong on all of this.

But until I see that I'm going to maintain my current position which includes there would be less chance of him getting hurt two weeks from now because I think the ankle would be healthier.

OK DM - point taken - IMO, Gruden will NOT be here next season if ANYTHING serious happens because of that ankle

hopefully that ankle and the rest of the team can make good things happen tomorrow

hopefully we're not suffering another let down that are so typical of this organization

Wrong. Cousins didn't win back to back games, did he? And McCoy didn't exactly "light" anything up in either game. But he showed heart & guts, and also how to come from behind and win 2 games (one very huge game against a division rival on MNF).

We are very lucky to have Cousins and McCoy

Gruden is making Griffin the starter because he KNOWS that even a rusty Griffin is better than McCoy or Cousins

btw - I hope that Cousins gets some help - that boy knows this offense - he needs to learn to not throw it to the wrong guys

Wrong smart guy. Cousins DID win back to back games in 2012. He came in to finish the Ravens game with a win, then won the following week in Cleveland. Pretty much identical scenario with McCoy.

You're welcome to wet your pants over the backup QB if you want. I want to see our franchise QB on the field.

Thanks riggofan - there are some here that OBVIOUSLY don't support the FACT that Griffin is THE starting QB here

we are very lucky to have the depth we have at QB

I'm really looking forward to the time when it's just an accepted fact that we did NOT 'give up too much' for Robert Griffin III

CANNOT WAIT

This is the year that Gruden must figure out if Robert is his QB or not. Should we wait until camp next year, and go into a season that is a fresh start and not know?

I saw on Sports Center this morning that a Redskins reporter said that some fans aren't fond of Robert playing today. He was trying to do an interview and players started hollering, so Robert and the reporter interviewing him needed to switch rooms. She said that he seems isolated from the locker room. He most definitely needs to have a good performance and a W.

^ That sounds like utter horse excrement. The reporters' take on why the players were making noise that is.

I saw that report, from Schefter. So now, not only is Griffin alienated from the locker room, now, all of a sudden, Dan Snyder is calling the shots as to when he starts again. I mean, we should create a bingo card for this crap. Or do shots when one of the "reports" surface.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

If and I underscore if Dan Small Man is telling Gruden to start RGIII and the players know this then we as a team and franchise are in big trouble.

SO I guess dan also got to all of the players who gave quotes WITH THEIR NAMES ATTACHED TO THEM that griffin looked ready to go a week ago and about how good he looked this week, too, huh? I mean these are the same NFL sources who claim that no one at the NFL every saw the video of ray rice knocking out his fiancée, right? Right.

I did not feel it was a must win game and I still don't

GAME NOTE: it was good to get our QB back in the game AND we have SERIOUS problems with this O line

not to worry - now we go into the bye week and then face the Bucs & 7 games to go

wanna bet that someone will post that we just have to beat the Bucaneers ...

^ I'll take a note too

But even if the Redskins won today, I don't think it was going to be a momentum carrier for the second half. I could be wrong, but the defense needs to play better against a rookie qb and bunch of back up running backs and the offense wasn't great consistently and I wouldn't expect for it to be being Robert's 1st game and the oline issues.

But Morris looks better with Robert as predicted in another thread. And I think its part of the threat with Roberts legs

Bob looks a little bigger physically than I remember ...

look - we're not a bad team - we have our issues - I really think we're going to win a few more games

there's no doubt that we're better off with Griffin playing QB

Yes I don't think we're a bad team, but there are essential issues that hinder success. From looking at the schedule, I believe their record will be 5-11 or 6-10. After a 3-13 season that's progress and that's what we want. But more importantly, would like to see the team play better and have younger players emerge into much better players.

Once, the season is over then it is time to address those issues.

-From listening to the game on the radio it seemed he looked physically better.
