Pink Panthers!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Post by redskincity »

:thump: :thump: :thump: :thump: :thump: :lowblow: I was just wondering with all of the wonderful reporting and all how will our staters fair against the Pink Panthers. How will L.A. hit Davis? :thump: How will Peppers hit Ramsey? Can we with our weak D-line penetrate their O-line. What will happen? Talk to me!!!!! :feedback; :lowblow: :lowblow:

I think the starters will probably only play for one or two set of downs... and I wouldn't expect to see more than 2 or 3 Davis carries.

I'm more interested in seeing what kind of pass rush we can generate when the starters are in. Like you said... what our d-line does against their o-line.

How our o-line does against their d-line should be interesting too. I think our o-line will be a big key to any success that we would hope to have this year. I'll be looking to see how Dockery (the Condominium) does. he's so darn big, I'm anxious to see what his footwork is like in a game situation.

I also want to see how Hamdan does in a game situation. he throws a beautiful ball, but it'll be a good game to gauge how his knowledge of the offense is coming along. he seemed like a really bright kid, so I hop[e that he showsa good grasp of the playbook.

I for one am hoping that we cut Rob Johnson and just go with Wuerffel and Hamdan. I know Gibran is a project but he's got such raw talent, I'm afraid that he'll get plucked from our practice squad if we put him there. I also think it'll be tough for a 4th quarterback to get enough reps to ever improve significantly. Brad Banks certainly didn't get any while I was at camp.

prediction: Redskins 121 Panthers 9
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

 I really think the key matchup is their D-line against our O-line. I am very curious to se our offense in action againt I do believe the #2 defense. Damn, I cant wait!!!

Oh my prediction: We will leave Carolina in the fetal position much like we did to the J E T S Whack Whack Quack

Yall are welcome to be at the game. I'll will be there and I am really excited about it. We have always loved football in NC, and are happy to finally be building a team here. I agree that dallass does suc. I had the pleasure to see troy achenman sacked at Ericsson Stadium. Next I'd really like to see Spuirrier do the lip thing. (You know the BLUB BLUB BLUB thing. ) Please see if you can get him to do that.

You know.... I am from N.C. and growing up everybody even grandma loved the Redskins. I did'nt pay much attention to them because I was a Steelers fan. When I visit N.C. everybody has look in their eyes that Redskins should be in Charlotte not the P  :x  HTTR

True this was skins territory, due to TV, before the Panthers. There are a lot of your fans still hanging on. I expect to see a lot of support, at both games for the skins. They should be fun games to attend. Yeeee hawwww, Let the season begin!!!!!

First preseason game always sucks and means the least...but our bench should score a crapload.

I figure Spurrier will keep his ways and piss a few teams off this preseason too.

haha let's be for real. Carolina will suck again this year. Rodney Peete be effective against the SKINS starting defense? laughable. The reg season game will prob be a slaughter if Ramsey has the offense running 1/2 full even.

I look forward to seeing how we can spread the field in the first quarter with the starters. That is a key to Coach's offense. Spread the field length-wise. We have so much speed now it should be a vast improvement even this early.

I agree that D line is prob the biggest ? mark.

A redskins jersey? Never... but you can take your Davis Jersey and paint it black now...

What would lend you to believe this? 7-9 last season, 4 close losses where we should have won... upgrades on the #2 defense in the NFL, a former Pro Bowl RB, Upgrades to WR and the OL - You might not see them tomorrow night, but you will in the regular season.

im sure every team can say that. We had close games we lost too but bottom line is they blew it. I think Carolina will be not so good until they have a decent QB. IMO its as bad as having someone like Kordell Stewart leading your team. I realize Peete had a good year but you know what NFL stands for.

#2 defense is great and Peppers is outstanding but 7-9 is sad for such a good defense. Same with us #5 defense and 7-9. In the end I know we overhauled our offense with better players than Carolina has and we have what will prob end up being the most prolific offense since the Rams.

We're steamrolling Carolina this year. And in about four hours im drinking beer.

Man... I should have put "THE REDSKINS" instead of the starters... you guys are lucky we put in Michael Bates in the second quarter, or it would have been worse...

I know, I know, it's only preseason, and you've beaten us many times before, but it proves that the Redskins have a long way to go before they are a good team, and that the Panthers are putting the pieces together for a strong all-around team.

I'd rather lose every preseason game than win em all.

Ramsey threw fine. Coles had the biggest play in the game. D line sucked. What we all expected prob. Games start counting on 9/4 -- till then there is work to be done.

Davis looked great. Actually caught out of the back field and made a play out of it. He wanted it more than the SKINS starting D but I bet the opposite happens on 11/16.

Carolina is putting together the right pieces I'll give you that but to put this to rest till November here are two things to remember:

1)the Redskins won last year’s pre-season game in Charlotte 37-30 and it also meant nothing

2) SKINS 6 panthers 0 -- reg season series.

Panthers 20
Redskins 0

any questions?
Try not to underestimate the #1 defense in the NFL. You can't beat us if you can't score on us. I thought our offense looked about 20 times better than last year. A big thank you goes out to Spurrier for releasing Davis.
See you guys in Week 11. Good luck until then.

Try #4 defense. This is the preseason. You do have the right to be happy though, I guess  How do you evaluate with such a good performance :hmm: Rodney Pete still sux and sorry we gave you false hope even though you do have a nice defense. I do have a question though. What will you post when you win all of your preseason games and go 4-12 in regular season? Cmon you have to have something on the tip of your tongue :moon: LOL

I think the Panthers fans have due cause to be happy.

I think Redskin fans have due cause to be optimistic.

I think to be worried about whether you're happy or optimistic at this point in the season is senseless :-)

We will definitely see the panther fans week 11. I'll take my spoon full of crow right now...

... because I'll be serving up a fresh spoonful for GoKittens on November 16th when it matters. :-)

On the official Game broadcast pregame last night, one of the Redskins commentators came on for a bit and mentioned that the skins QBs were booed by their fans at Camp this week...

It wasn't really Ramsey's fault the first team faltered. There were several dropped passes and penalties that set you guys back.

Fox played Michael Bates at RB to test him... since all of our other special teams players can play other positions, Fox gave Bates a chance to play RB and show him what he could do... he failed miserably.

Guys, Rob Johnson Sucks... as does Danny Awful - but of course you know this. If Ramsey goes down, God help you. I think Ramsey is going to be a good QB.

But what can we really garner from this game? Neither team unleashed the real game plan, as we play for real this season... but as for the 1 on 1 battles, the Skins for the most part were overmatched. I don't think for a second that Spurrier will take this lightly, and I expect him to retalliate mightily come 11/16... but then again, IF Davis is healthy, you guys are in for a WAR. I think it's going to be a good game.
