lol. That's DC for you. Coming out of the woodwork after becoming "fans" overnight.
Seriously, does anybody growing up here in the 80s remember there being so many "Patriots Fans" as there are around here now?

A home game usually means a loss. A prime time home game usually means a disaster.
e.g. Vick opening the game to Jackson torching Landry and the game was over after the 1st quarter, the Steeler fans taking over FedEx stadium, the all maroon uniforms, the trick play against the G-Men https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-tqLG__Al4 , the G-Men hanging 45 last week, etc.
There's really nothing Washington can do to embarrass themselves. The only embarrassment would be if Seattle didn't cover the spread or lost.

You know, I twice added a comment pointing that out and erased it, thinking it didn't need to be said. And we have enough threads about Griffin, Cousins, Griffin compared to Cousins, etc.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

Are you sugar coating this? What do you really mean?
please don't feed the trolls and ONLY respond to the guys here that have a clue ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Oh come on SkinsJock, masterkwon has always been known as a half full type. He rarely says anything remotely negative, and I know he is holding back. If he could just enlighten us as much as he is, we all could be on top of the world spreading as much joy as he does.
Two questions you have to ask when this question comes up: will we be embarrassed this week...the first question is; is the game a prime time game? The second is; is it a divisional game...if the answer to either is yes, then the answer to the original question is yes...so yes, this game will be embarrassing...
I'd be satisfied with a loss in which we actually fight, like the Eagles game. If we can at least give Seattle a run for their money, then I'd be content. I'm not expecting victory, but "any given Sunday" is the motto of this game.
I do not think we'll be embarrassed - I look for the players and coaches to be very motivated to show that last Thursday was an aberration

Thursday night games are tough. Ask the Vikings.

exactly - the Vikings are not as bad as they looked last night ...
Gruden needs to start being a little tougher and the players need to take some accountability for this as well
nobody should expect great things from this group but I predict many of these players will not be playing here next season

I think the subject "Will we be embarrassed...." That is a trick question.
Come on let's be real, how can you possibly be embarrassed when you're a Redskins fan?
We've done so much "S" that NOTHING should come as a surprise. Teams do stupid "S" like we do once every couple years but we do it routinely.
I don't even feel the embarrassment anymore.. like when I left in the 3rd quarter last Thursday.. or possibly (more than likely) when I do the same this Monday night.
Both teams will want to have a good running game because both teams offense need the run to make the passing game work - both teams have been good at stopping the run
I think Morris gets a lot of carries because Cousins has not shown that he's as effective behind a line that gives him little pass protection, if any
we need Morris to have a really good game to have a shot

fabe wrote:Here's a question for you guys: Do you think Alfred Morris will have a good game or not?
I think he'll have an okay game. I'm just not sure if the Seahawks will stop him. If they get behind, it has shown that Gruden likes to pass way more than run, something I fear. I benched him for my fantasy team. Started Ivory and Jennings instead, event though Morris is projected more points than Ivory.
What concerns me is guys not being willing to take on blocks. If we come out and play with heart defensively, you know, like all the other home teams seem to in night games, we'll be fine. But I've seen a lot of guys just yield to blockers.
We are really missing Cofield. He led by example. I fear Orakpo is not only not great but actually borderline bad. His "I have nothing to prove" comment is haunting. While I'm at it, Perry Riley seems terrible too. The really young guys like Trent (I'm no longer concerned about that pick) Murphy need to play more snaps. I'd rather see more guys play fewer snaps each at 100% than some "names" hogging snaps but only playing at 70% or 80% on each one.
Seattle is going to try to punch us in the mouth and take away our will. If that happens, we will be embarrassed. It doesn't have to turn out that way but I am worried. I don't want to see us standing up for a few series but wilting as the game gets away from us.
