a shout out.

Post by hailskins666 »

here's to everyone that made it to camp with my girlfriend, amy, and myself. one of the best experiences of my entire life. looking back, i enjoyed every bit of it. a solid week of nothing to do but redskins and beer. back home now, and i thought i'd give a nod out to the peeps from the site i met.

first the staff.

boss and taz. you guys rock. it was nothing short of what i expected. once a year just isn't enough, i'd like to hang with you guys everyday! it's funny how two couples so far from each other, could have so much in common. virtual -drinking

jansen fan and nikih(and jackson!) enjoyed the weekend you spent with us. these guys are raising their kid the right way. i'll go out on a limb and say this kid is the smartest 2 going on 3 year old on the planet, as far as football is concerned. not just with the skins, but they must read him "football trivial pursuit" instead of bed time stories. :hail:

nc43hog even though you were the oldest guest at redskins park for the entire week, i thouroghly enjoyed every minute of it. we sweated out the HOTTEST and most HUMID practice of the week, weds at 2pm, side by side. we were soaked after standing there two hours in the heat.

dehog(and brandon) another parent raising his kid the right way. you were everthing i expected and more. pure class, and the most professional of the staff.(i'm sure the 19 + years of the military will do that for you) ;)

wingmanROTFALMAO thats all i need to say. anyone who wasn't there, just dosen't understand. wish you could have been there longer bro. :D

jake and skinschic(even though she's not staff, its more thatn fitting i mention this now) ok, this is a parent who has raised their kid right! both you guys are awesome...... "oh lord!"

and for the board members i was fortunate enough to meet.(apologies if i missed anyone.)

warmother. what a good guy. hope you make it down next year man!

screwgun. drove all the way from NY for fan day and, stayed at the hotel we did. he looked us up. much respect.

redskinsfreak. you braved the crowds a couple practices as well. another die hard. :)

smufrfskin. it was fan day, and i apologize if i din't get to talk but a couple minutes, but thanks for showing up and locating us. ;)

and to a non board member.

melanie pierce of 'sonic promotions' she's honestly one of the nicest (and most spoiled ;furious; ) people i've ever met. i'd known her for all of five minutes, and she paid for amy and my own lunches, along with boss and taz. =D> very classy lady. not to mention, she's doing me a huge favor with getting some sigs on a little something i wanted signed. :) lets just say, if you want an alumni signed for an event, she's the one you need to talk to. but be careful, she drives a hard bargain. mel, you rock.!

and heres to all that missed it. :moon: .....just kidding!

i had a blast. wish i could head back up again tomorrow.

It was really nice to meet you and Amy! You are both loads of fun! Though if I drank as much as you did this weekend alone, I'd be dead! LOL
Thanks for the compliment about Jackson. He has a blanket on his bed that has all the NFL team helmets on them. And we don't read football trivial pursuit but his favorite thing to do after his bedtime stories is to pick two teams. Then Scott and I try to name all the players we can on the teams. I also try to slip in a little bit about the state or city they are from.
Wingman is completely hilarious. I will never quite look at Kelly Ripa the same way. Or female boxing for that matter!

Thanks Hailskin - and I have to say, you weren't nearly as Evil as I thought you would be. Must be the influence of AMY. :)

I think I lost 15 pounds standing at the fence with you DUDE, thanks Amy for giving me the spot, I got lots of good photos (coming to the site soon).

Thought we lost you HS666 during the Alex Storm - poor BH was soaked to the bone running around looking for your butt. Too funny, of course I couldn't find my car so I wasn't in any better shape. Thanks boss for letting us dry off at your suite.

Also glad to meet everyone else as well, you know who you are.

Anyway, looking forward to the season and camp next year - where do you think it will be????

I have to agree with you there. Carlisle is the place to be. You gotta be die-hard to take vacation for training camp. NOt like have the people there this week who were only there for autographs.

Unfortunately for Jake, he missed the day where he could have drooled on the cheerleaders instead of just on their pics in the calender...

Didn't miss them at all because I get to drool over them in person 10 times a year before, during, and AFTER the game. They walk to the players parking lot so I get to see them every week.

Ditto to all HS666 wrote. It was a wonderful week and meeting all these people in person was just the best! (It really is uncanny that Boss and I actually have our own "American twins" in HS666 and Amy (time to sign up, Amy!).)

Meeting everyone in person just helped to solidify the fact that we do have the best "community" and "brother-/sister-hood". You are all top-notch and thank you for making your way to camp to support the team, the site and to meet us all. =D>

Yeah I agree! Amy should join! ;-) She'd make a good edition and we need to at least work on evening out the woman to man ratio here!

Now here this, Miss Amy!!!! Jackson answered way more questions than me too, but I am not deterred! [-( In fact, after much soul searching, I realized that I have only started to learn about this game and the Redskins (since last year's training camp). Jackson has 2 years on me. You, also very new to this, are a mere fetus compared to Jackson (who BTW just turned 3 -- Happy B-Day buddy!!!). He has 3 years learning ahead of you! Now, you can either hide in shame, or step up to the challenge. Join the board, lurk and learn. Maybe we could even start an "Ask Jackson" thread -- think of all we both could learn!!!! ROTFALMAO

Personally, I am considering hiring Jackson to tutor me on the fundamentals of football and the players. :hail:

Until then....

He teaches me new stuff everyday! ;-) Of course he's not quite mastered typing anything but Jackson and I love you on the keyboard. LOL So the answers would be limited. LOL

Too many good people to thank and make note of... too many good times had to re-address.

This last training camp visit was all about relationships formed or consolidated for me... I thank each and every one of you that afforded me the time to meet you and hang out a little.

And Amy... if you don't sign up soon... I'm going to start a whole new website, and a whole new message board that is JUST FOR YOU... and then when you're comfortable enough... we'll start sending people over there.

... or you could just bite the bullet and sign up. :-)

Remember the first thing I ever told you about me....
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
