how do you know this, are you a doctor?
While his prediction is a bit over the top, he is right in one area... dislocations result is a weakened joint capsule. It works the same way as a concussion... Once there has been one, there is a higher chance that more will follow. His left ankle is vulnerable to recurrences. It may not limit his performance... but it will never be quite the same.

I wouldn't trade Cousins for a 1st rounder at this point unless we were 100% sure he was leaving at the end of his contract. Backup QB is becoming a very important position around here.

I'm sure that's true. And yeah, if I break my arm, then technically its never going to be the same - but I don't think that's what the commenter was implying.
I'm sure some of you guys heard that Darren Sproles dislocated and fractured his ankle in 2006 and was out that entire year. From what I saw last night vs. the Colts, his career is apparently not over.

Actually, fractures USUALLY result in stronger bones in the area of the break... None the less, the point I was making was, dislocations cause damage to the ligaments that constitute the joint capsule. the ligaments are stretched, and never return to the same "tight" condition that once secured the joint. As a result, the joint is "sloppy", allowing the two articulating components of the joint greater room to move... increasing the chances that an unfortunate foot plant, or a twisting tackle... causes the injury to rear it's head again. We know that there is occasionally some extracurricular jostling at the bottom of those piles, at the end of plays...riggofan wrote:Countertrey wrote:SkinsJock wrote:

But YOUR point stands as well... this isn't something to dwell on, until we see him play, cut and get hit. He is young... he is obviously flexible... He may be just fine. We can certainly be hopeful! In the mean time, let's hope that Kirk makes any decision about Bob's return, regardless when it happens, very difficult. Hail!

That was what I was getting at - Griffin is injured, Dr Andrews will help him get better - let's not make it out to be career threatening
in the meantime I hope that Cousins plays really well - I want him to show how good a back up QB we have when Griffin comes back

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
