Brian Orakpo wants to be paid like JJ Watt. Produce like him and it will happen. Unfortunately, Rak was invisible today.

This is a tough lose to swallow. Not a good way to start the season.

It's all the same. We fans know that the line is weak but the team doesn't address those needs. We fans know the safety position needs improvement but the draft picks they expend are wasted. Nothing is going to change.

My conclusions for the day...
Polumbus must go.
Chester must go.
Polumbus must go.
Helu and Rambo must wake up before going onto the field.
Polumbus must go.

I did not expect to win... but when you lose because of recurring brain farts, it does get a bit frustrating.

Finally... JJ Watts is a freaking monster.

Yeah well... Their pass rush is excellent and their secondary was/is suspect. When you can't give the QB enough time it is ugly. If they ever do stick Cousins in there, I think eyes will be open and people will see how bad our Oline really is.

I hope it doesn't get to that because that would be bad for Roberts psyche. I know there are peolple that just want him out of there and when others fail they will say Robert just sucked and thats that. People forget what he can do and yes he does have the IT factor but he needs another second at least.

We have a QB in Griffin and we have many good players ... we could not address the incredibly bad O line - some here felt that Griffin's mobility and the incredible weapons we have would make this fact not matter - as I have said before - we have to find a way to replace everyone except Trent Williams

we'll be OK but we have been badly hurt by the lack of depth caused by Mara and the NFL

I was very glad to see that Griffin is going to be a really good QB
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Someone said that RGIII is a good quarterback. I didn't see that today. Granted, the o line was crap and the players decided that holding onto the ball is not a real high priority. But the play calling stunk, maybe because of the lack of execution. 3 - 13 might look good if this continues.

This team lacks discipline and that starts with the coaching staff. Turnovers and poor ST play are a sign of a poorly coached team.

Well I'm no coach or player but seems to me that if you roll out and/or bootleg, like Joey did to buy time (even behind the hogs) it might buy you the time for a completion. I am at the point now where I say put any QB back there. Cousins or trade all of the defense for Peyton just so some people can see how porous our Oline really is. Then we can ruin our investment and we can start over once again. I guess no one saw the Superbowl last year. Here is a novel idea... Why don't we do what we can to give a mobile QB a little more time as in 1 second more and see what happens? It might take less time and have better results and be less expensive. Sometimes the truth doesn't hit you until it smacks you in the face.

I take it you weren't impressed with Polumbus at some point? Or every point? Me either, he sucks.

Seriously, I don't understand why we'll spend money everywhere except the O-line

Defense was pretty good considering they were on the field all day. Of course someone mentioned we had a couple of drives but that was after our defense was beat and in the second half. Other than that there is no silver lining except it wasn't worse than it was. I think some of this stuff can be fixed this year. We'll see.

Grandmother Kwon use to say if you want to predict the future look at the past.

We go through this every year. Just because it's a new year with another new coach doesn't mean things are going to be different. This was not a game they were suppose to win. Vegas had them getting three. Yes there's always going to be some knucklehead who talks being in the "playoffs" and "going to the Super Bowl", but being in the third of the league that makes the upper two thirds possible, the goals and expectations are totally different. You don't finish DFL in the division and the conference one year and expect to come back as a "favorite" the next. The false hope and unrealistic expectations are just incredible. Some people, starting with the owner, just don't get it.

Please, there was a lot to build on. That it happens that 3-13 teams become 13-3 teams is like it also happens someone gets Brady in the sixth round. That isn't the expectation. Morris was spectacular, the D was greatly improved, and when we got the ball to the receivers they showed they are the real deal. That it isn't good enough for you as a next step is on you, not the team.

I don't know. My expectations were to eat the clock up and score. Give our D the rest and have them pin their ears back. Is this so much to ask? I don't expect the greatest passing game. Of course Morris looked good until we were playing catch up much like last year. Yes there are things to build on unfortunately way too many things.

obviously your expectations were not realistic ...

I saw some positives - we have great weapons on offense (apart from TW, we have nobody else capable of playing on the O line)

the defense looks a lot better

we still look like a 8 or 9 win team - that's a huge upgrade over the mess that were wearing B&G last season
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

We weren't an 8 or 9 win team today. I'd say 6. Not that we won't get better, but we won't win half our games like that.

I'd agree with that but I think that we're going to see a better performance from these players than we saw today ...

I hope this staff has the guts to cut players and give others a chance to step up ...

Who are we going to cut? Where are we going to get these players that will or might step up?
