what happened to ohalete?

Post by Cali616 »

I thought that Ifeanyi Ohalete (sp?) was exceptional last year. He had good strong stats on paper and excelled on the field. He was a much better player than Bowen, who was paid a LOT more money.
Why is he soo deep in the depth chart now? I know that Sean Taylor is a great player and should probably be the starter but the other safety position should belong to Iffy. He's even playing behind Franz and Lott... am I missing something?

This has been a pretty popular topic since we drafted Taylor. There are a multitude of threads on it.

Basically, I think we are all missing something. Either Andre Lott is much better than we thought, or Iffy did something to tick the coaching staff off.

I don't know if any of you noticed, but we went 5-11 last year and ranked closer to last in defense than we did to the middle of the pack.

I don't know that there's any player on that defense that I would characterize as exceptional. everybody got beat, everybody missed tackles, everybody was out of position.

I have a lot of faith that Gregg Williams will improve the defense but based on last year's play, they should all have to work their way up from third string...

I think what he meant was he showed promise! Maybe not a star, but a possibility of a star?? But you are right everyone on that team needs to earn their spot. I fully expect Ohalete will earn a spot!

I think its both, but I'm not postive.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.
