Helu ....gone?

Post by tribeofjudah »

I hope not. I like Helu. It's a numbers game so we shall see.

Yeah, not sure what that link was supposed to be for. Helu isn't going anywhere, bro. Morris isn't a 3rd down back (unless it's 3rd and short and we want to run). Helu is a great relief to Morris because their running styles are so different. Morris is physical, while Helu is more elusive. Helu can also catch the ball pretty well, which is something that Gruden loves in a back. Again, he's not going anywhere.

I stand by what I said. Helu is the best option at #2. Who else is going to back up Morris, Evan Royster? Lmao!

Hes no slouch either.. stays healthy more then Helu... made the most of his opportunity last game... and very well may have more TDs thus far then Helu.
-guy always falls forward and refuses to lose yards
-had a great rookie showing when Helu went down

Ive seen Helu miss blocks, but I think he is touted as the best blocking rb.. unless D Young counts.

I wouldnt lose sleep over a Helu trade keeping Royster and a speedster in Seastrunk..

Helu needs a hole to run through. Last night I noticed he didn't have any. Yeah, Morris and DY are way better power runners but they can't do what Helu can in the open field either. Helu has much to improve on but that article is basically comparing him to a power runner for a 3rd down back. Makes no sense to me. He can catch but you have to throw to him.

Royster (if he makes the team) is more of a handcuff for Morris if injured. Helu is locked in as the 3rd down back. He's also bigger than many people realize and breaks his share of tackles. He has very good hands and is top notch on blitz pick-up as well.

On the contrary, he's been clearly identified as our third down back

Yeah, I don't see Helu going anywhere..... not a chance of him getting cut.

The real question is whether or not Royster will make the team.

Pretty sure he's still our back RB and he's done nothing to make anyone feel otherwise.
