Here Here gundo!

To be honest, the fans have kinda sucked the past few years. Granted, there has not been much to cheer about but still.... This is an oportunity to show the love, lets take it!

I am feeling a new thread comming on.

I've already got it set up with a writer at the wash. post. and he's going to write an article about it. I think that the only other thing we need is just people who are going to the game to make a sign or atleast spread the word to the other people around them. Its going to go down right after the coin toss.

Sounds good.

For the people that cant go to the game...send him an email.
Hopefully it gets to him and he'd appreciate it over the months ahead.

here's my entry for the write-in thing... (for us 8-12 years olds only )
(please deliver my star to my favorite classmate, the way I'd like it delivered)

eh... EM... (deep breath)

"Roses are red, Violet's are blue......
With a 42 year old fill in, Jon Jansen, we'll miss you

For when you went down on that field, Our heart's sunk beneath....
For we wondered who would fill, the gap in Strahan front teeth.....

You've gave us your all, Burgundy & Gold you have bled....
Your truely a Hog, Dirtbag, and Redskin, from your feet to your head.....

And so we wish you and your achillie, a fast recovery.....
Because missing our leader from O-line, will be a-killing-me...."

hold.... =; .... 3...2...1..

Ok throw tomato's now!

Again, I HATE the Yankees but I have to say they honored him a heck of a lot better than the O's did!

In fact, the YANKEE fans started a "Let's go Ripken" chant near the end of the game. It was pretty awesome.

I hear ya there, I can't stand the Yankees either, but their fans have a lot more class than some orginaizations when it comes to certain things. They always suprise me when I think they are gonna f things up. The Orioles havea great orginization as well but probablly the worst owner, well close to the worst.

back to the subject now how about Jannnnnnnnnnn Sen Jannnnnnnnn Sen Jannnnnnnnnnnnn Sen ..... so on and so forth.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.

What about using Metallica's "Master of Puppets" as the tune for the chant...

JAN-SEN!!...JAN-SEN!!

No? Okay, just trying it on. (poor Dr. Evil impression)

So, we halfway made it. This is what he said:

A group of Redskins fans plan to honor Jansen, one of the team's longest-serving players, before the game with signs and chants before the coin toss.

We didnt get our own article but hey, prove us to be rightfull guys. Thanks again guys and for all those who will be at the game scream really loud.
