Redskins Free Agents

Post by SKINS#1 »

Have the Redskins lost any players who were Free Agents? If not, does this mean they are that bad? I may not fully understand the dynamics of how this works but it does seem strange not a single player has been recruited by another team.

No. There are, I believe, 16 who are still unsigned... and none have received offers from other teams...

This should tell us something about our depth last year.

Good point. I see Rob Jackson has some interest from Oakland. Wouldn't be surprised to see that one happen. Still, 1 out of 16?

We could lose Rob Jackson? I hope not.

DT Chris Baker, LB Perry Riley, CB DeAngelo Hall, S Jose Gumbs, WRs Aldrick Robinson and Santana Moss all re-signed with the Skins... Orakpo got franchise tagged but hasn't signed

Back-up Center J.D. Walton signed with the Giants and back-up LB Darryl Tapp signed with the Lions,

That leaves....

LB Nick Barnett
WR Dezmon Briscoe (restricted; not tendered)
CB E.J. Biggers (may be returning)
TE Fred Davis
S Reed Doughty (may be returning)
LB London Fletcher (is 99% sure he won't be playing)
QB Rex Grossman
DE Rob Jackson
LB Bryan Kehl
S Brandon Meriweather (may be returning)
WR Josh Morgan (wants to return)
CB Josh Wilson

I think that's all of them

I tend to believe Redskins.com myself. If he does become a safety he hits hard enough and it might fill a void but produce another.
