Perry Riley to sign

Post by chiefhog44 »

Looks like he's signing. Think this is a good move depending on the money

What's the line between a fair deal and overpaying? I'm thinking anything over $6m a year is too much.

I hope this works out. I really want to see the team building from within, developing our own players. But we need those players to deliver!!!

Just saw the article on Bleacher Report that quoted the tweet from someone at NBC4 in DC. That reporter claimed the deal is 3 years for $13M. Very good price for the team if that report is true.

Good deal on the cost. I wasn't optimistic that this was going to be an easy deal.

Now the real question is who will they bring in to fill Fletcher's spot. Am I completely wrong or is that the single biggest hole we need to address in FA at this point?

Sounds like Karlos Dansby is about to get paid big time by the Browns btw. So there is one option off the table.

3yr/$13 would be a good price.

Perhaps safety is more pressing. I could see Riley taking over for London and one of our younger players (or a vet) filling the role Riley used to have. At safety, we still don't have a quality starter.
