I hope I haven't been scooped on this, but did anyone catch ESPN's "Outside the lines" last night? They had a long segment on the Poston brothers.
I knew they were scum before that, and having seen it only reinforces my belief that the two of them are the absolute scum of the earth. There is NO doubt in my mind whatsoever, that they are directly at fault for the LaVar Arrington problem. Their reputation is getting worse and worse every day. I hope they're out of the business soon.
The Poston brothers really are scum.

I saw it JPFair. I can't stand the Poston's. I didn't mind agents so much until the Poston's came around. Its so funny how teams will purposefully not draft players that have the Poston's as agents. I hope that this LaVar Contract dispute really does come back to bite them in the butt.

I saw it too, and came away with even less respect for the "reporter" of the story, Jeremy Schapp, than I have for the Postons.
I obviously wasn't terribly surprised that the Postons disputed the criticisms others have of them, but I was very surprised that Schapp didn't offer any balance by interviewing other even-more-successful agents -- Leigh Steinberg, for example -- who manage to negotiate lucrative contracts for their clients while seldom if ever having to hold out of training camp.
Even more despicable, however, was their blatant use of the race card. It's the Postons' contention the tactics they use are no different than any good agent, but general managers resent them more than others because white people can't handle the idea of a smart black person. Not only did Schapp apparently buy this nonsense -- because he didn't present a single NFL executive to dispute it -- but even worse was the fact that not once in the whole piece did he even mention the Lavar Arrington controversy.
Oh sure, they mentioned Lavar when the Postons bragged about having gotten him a rookie contract bigger than the top pick in the draft that year, but they somehow completely overlooked the fact that Arrington's genius representatives evidently managed to misplace $6.5 million in a contract they initialed every page of.
To allow NFL general managers to be portrayed as racists intimidated by the Postons' unquestioned brilliance without offering up glaringly obvious evidence that these two are, if anything, less competent than their peers is the worst kind of sloppy and unethical journalism. Clearly Schapp had an agenda to push and he wasn't going to let the facts get in the way. I've been a newspaper reporter and editor for 25 years and if Jeremy Schapp had been working for me last night, he'd be looking for a new job this morning.

Unfortunately, agenda-pushing has become the norm for magazine-style "news" show reporters, from what I've seen.
I'm not a newspaper reporter or editor, but in college I was a writer/editor (I won some college journalism awards actually) for the campus newspaper long enough to have learned to recognize the difference between good reporting and the kind of junk I see on magazine shows.
Now I have two reasons to wish I had seen the show, and to hope I can catch a rebroadcast...
I saw it. They just seem so selfish and money hungry that they don't even care about their clients and then they makee their clients look stupid for holsding out.
Julian Peterson getting a $30 million bonus? YEAH RIGHT!

I dont like their drama but if they were my agent I would be happy with the money they go after.
