For all those who were in the situation that Gibbs was "before their time",who of you actually thought you'd get to see Gibbs coach. Again. Ever.

To be honest,I wasn't sure, maybe I was leaning more to "not happening";that's why this game is so special to me. I mean,I'm only 13 ( ),so this is a miracle, really.

Go Skins!

Go Gibbs!

I'm "only" 26, and the son of New Yorkers (my dad's a Giants fan GRRRR!), but I definitely have fond memories of watching the skins back in the day with the TV on mute and Redskins radio pumping through the stereo. It was a great time. I missed it, and I'm so glad it's back! :D

I'm 16 and grew up on three videos: 1987 Redskins team yearbook, 1991 Redskins team yearbook, and my favorite Super Bowl XXII tape. Barney and Sesame Street took a backseat when it came to educational videos.

I went to my first game in 1991 or 1992 against Atlanta (Gibbs vs. Glanville). I know EXACTLY what Gibbs means to this franchise and NEVER thought he would come back. I'm not going to say it was a dream come true because I never dreamed for it (I don't dream for things I don't expect to happen) but I'm in state of ecstasy.

26 here also. I grew up a Skins fan but as a child i always had to go to church so i never got to watch the games. I know of Gibbs b/c of my dad, who is now a Panthers fan. I have been so happy that he's back. It just gives a sense of hope. The last couple years have been terrible.

I was ten years old the last game Gibbs coached. But it was magical seeing Gibbs, Bugel, and Breaux (complete with his glasses dangling at the end of his nose) .

OK, I am 57, and it has been a long time since I felt that emotional choke-up the way I felt when they showed Gibbs on the sidelines, exactly the same and exactly right, except, as somebody mentioned, for the color of the hat. Bring back the old red ones.

(Of course, to put the in real-world perspective, it does not compare to seeing my kids born, or walking down lower Broadway a few weeks after they WTC was blown up. Or seeing the smoke that day, pouring above the Hudson County ridge, right where I would look and expect to see the Towers...but the wonderful thing about sport is that is is an artificial life. There are rules, somebody wins, somebody loses, everyone goes home, and plays again next week. If we're in the game, we play like it is our life, but then the game is over, and we step back into an uglier reality. OK, if a baseball commissioner can write about the "philosophy" of the diamond sport, I can sling some words. And I will stop right here!)

I would just be thrilled if they wore "throwback" unis from the late 80's all season long! :D
