There's no doubt now that Mike will be fired tonight …. can't wait to hear from all the Mike haters …

I certainly never said Mike should be fired last Sunday. Instead I said Mike needs to be a man and finish the year. He can quit, get fired or get laid off for all I care. Just not during the season. Last Sunday was the last straw. I was a supporter of Mike even though I didn't believe in his finesse offense. If you think he shouldn't be accountable for his coaches then I have no response.

I give him credit for many good things he has done.

there are two ways of looking at it. If you read the post they show both sides, I hate the post. They do bring up some good points though.

2 point conversion... The ball's on the 2... why the hell don't you have Alf in... either for the real deal... or for play action???? 2 yards is damned close to automatic for this kid. The D has to take him seriously. Excellent chance that a TE will be open in play action...

I loved going for 2 in that situation, though... no reason to take the game into OT.

I felt the same way. Going into OT and risk a player getting injured is pointless (the season is already lost, might as well test out some plays for future use).

On another note, Cousins had great deep pass accuracy today. That's been one of RG3's weaknesses from my viewpoint. Fixable, but a weakness none the less.

Back in 91, Rypien could hit a gnat from 50 yards away. Odd thing was watching him warm up before games overthrowing guys from 10 yards away lol. Guess everyone needs a weakness.

Ryp was a deep ball specialist on a team that could pass protect (one of the best ever), AND had embarrassing wealth at the skill positions... When you have an incredible arm, all day in the pocket, and receivers who will make up for any variances... you're going to hit a lot of deep passes.

I think we will pick up a great WR or two next year, but if Shanahan is still our HC, I'm not too sure he will do anything about the line. That's what I can't get my head around about MS...he doesn't see the line as being a major issue.

Won't happen... you much first start by building "The Hogs"... Shanahan is wed to his zone blocking scheme, with light, athletic linemen... The Hogs will never be reproduced under his watch...
Unfortunately, it is exactly that kind of OL that would give Bob the confidence to work on his pocket skills: work on reading his progressions... read defenses... set blocking assignments... focus on unfamiliar mechanics... and, most importantly, to slow the game down.

I like your logic. I mean its rare to see a QB do consistently well who's constantly under pressure.

Just a pipe dream, but I'd love to see Russ Grimm as our line coach. Agreeing with what you said above, I think he & MS are completely incompatible though.
