What happen's to the QB compition with Jansen out?

Post by 1niksder »

Jon Jansen was suppose to protect Mark Burnell's backside and that wouldn't have been a issuse because Jon is one of the best tackles in the NFL now with Jansen out this will be a issuse. Samuels can do a great job on the other side and protecting P-Ram's backside so will Joe Gibbs take this into consideration when chosing his starting QB. I don't think it matter when we had both Jansen and Samuels healthy
Luckly we do have a O-Line coach who can deal with this

It sucks, but Coach Bugel and Coach Gibbs will adapt.

It'll be interesting to see who starts working with the first line at RT now. Winey? Isn't he nicked up? Elisara? Kenyatta Jones when Randy Thomas gets back?

Lucky we have a REAL offensive line coach this year to work this problem.

The Skins will deal with it. It absolutely sucks but the silver lining (if there is one) is that this happened in the 1st preseason game...and not the 5th. At least now the team can plug someone in and give them a lot of reps before opening day.

I don't think anyone has come back from a ruptured Achilles' in the same season. Anyone who wants to correct me, I'm all ears!

It's terrible what happened to Jansen I feel really bad for Him and the Redskins, but remember that you can never have to many o-linemen and the 2 we drafted give us depth that we needed. Joe Bugal will find somebody to replace Jon.

Well, like Coach Gibbs said, this happened to Cory Raymer once and he battled back and played in the next season.

I don't think this will end Jansen's career, but it is extremely unfortunate. Hopefully we'll adapt.

The QB "competition" will continue with or without Jansen, and the line will adapt. I think more worrisome is the performances of our "starting QBs". They may have to put both of them behind center to accomplish what Hassie has been able to do by himself.

I agree! P-ram looked especially bad to me. He just
lacked confidence. I think Brunell brings more mobility to the position which we will definitly need now. Back to the bench P-ram.
