Officials should have stopped...

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Officials should have stopped...

Post by Kilmer72 »

Triplette told the pool reporter that the officials didn’t halt the game to sort out the confusion “because that would have given an unfair advantage,” apparently to the Redskins, in his view, by stopping the clock. Triplette said he couldn’t respond to Shanahan’s contention he’d been told by an official it was a first down because he was unaware of that situation.

Now how is it not ok to "give us an unfair advantage" but it is ok to screw up our final drive letting us believe it was first down? There has been numerous games this year that the refs nudged the game out of our reach.

That sequence was so ludicrous it was unbelievable.

That crew should NEVER call another game. This was incompetence on an epic level...

It would probably be an issue if it rimed with a team named Aytriots. Because it is us it doesn't matter.

I have never seen anything like it, embarrasing.

They also missed a facemask call on the play when Garcon had the ball ripped from him, how can you compete against that...???

I guess Davis making a catch would've helped...

I think wouldn't have best explained it. They had it in their minds to make sure we couldn't come back. Hard to beat both the refs and the team you are supposed to be playing in the first place.

Some people might think we are to stupid or ignorant to know the difference. If I am insulted I would hope some of you are too. We can't be this stupid and not see it.

God awful by the refs. When you have both Collinsworth and Michaels fired up over it, you know you screwed up big time. But let's not kid ourselves, the way our receivers kept dropping passes in that game, would it have made a difference?

TERRIBLE call and hopefully these guys get severely reprimanded …

but … there were so many dropped passes …. OUCH
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

"Unfair advantage" and the NY Giants. Hmm...

Something sounds familiar here no?
