Props to Sean, he was truly the highlight of the game, along with the Swedish kicker. However, let's keep our heads on straight. He WAS NOT in there against Denver's 1st string offense. I want to see him progress throughout the preseason to the point that he's getting 3 int's against starters and wreaking havoc back there. Still, though, a good outing.
It was funny to se him back there, though. I told my buddy, "Was that Byron Chamberlain who just intercepted that ball?" The kid is huge.
Go Sean!
BTW- It still doesn't silence those who disagree with his off-field issues. Once he resolves those, he'll be the total package.

Shouldn't we all just enjoy what we're watching this young man do on the field? posse, your self righteous "i told you so" is unnecessary and those that are judging this guy's character can also just tone it down a little. The guy is a Redskin and he's been by far the brightest spot of tonight's game. let's leave it at that.
I agree!!!! This IS a redskins fan site! And all some people can do is call Taylor a jerk when he has done nothing wrong and was absolutely dominate tonight.
You know what... nevermind. You all stick around and believe everything any two-bit beat reporter tells you about Taylor and hate him all you want.
I'm out. Going to extremeskins.com. They actually like the Redskins there and don't make ridiculous judgemental assessments about things they know nothing of.
I wish I could say it's been nice knowing most of you, but honestly, it hasn't.
LATE
Dude, why so sensitive? You've consistantly come on this board with a negative 'tude and it's not the first time you've turned threads into personal attacks. Chill man.
That said, I wanted Taylor from day one and was very happy to see his great play last night. He still needs to get his non-football life together. Hopefully with time he'll get some good people around him and make us happy off the field as well. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him on the field!!

Wow is all I can say. I agree with Redeemed Skins about something. I never thought I'd see this day! LOL
I didn't want to bring him down. But I don't have to like his attitude to want him to play for the Redskins. Posse you took it so seriously, are you Taylor's brother or something??

People... it's okay, really. I just checked "Hog Wash" and there is not ONE thread about Taylor's amazing performance. I come into this forum, and this thread is it, and most people are busy calling him a jerk or that it's no big deal because it's preseason. Over at extremeskins, there are like 10 threads with people really excited. That's where I wanna be. BTW- the Washington Post praised Taylor up and down in about 3 different articles, it's not just me or a bunch of overly excited fans.
I love how people say I have the negative attitude, when all I am is really excited about the Redskins and trying to defend them from judgemental people. Sue me.
I'm not the only one either, this site has lost a ton of members lately. I'm just another one in the line. If you care, it's a combination of over-moderation, and a lot of pessimistic and judgemental people operating as an elitist clique. If that's what you all want (obviously i guess it is), then that's cool. I want something else.
have fun hating the Skins! BYYYYYYYE!!!!

You are free to defend Sean Taylor and to debate with people. You are not free to break the rules by calling people names or making inflammatory posts. If Extremeskins allows this, than I contend that they are under-moderated. If the kind of people we are losing are people who insist people who disagree with them deserve to be belittled than the board is better for that loss. For your one claim of over-moderation, there are many members who have stated that moderation is the reason they come here.
You can say whatever you want to whomever you want. We have two ways available to you at all times. The Smack Forum if you want to do it in public and Private Messaging if you wish to do so behind the scenes.
I guess the bottom line here, is that if you leave, we will still be here going strong. Thanks for you contributions during your stay.

Hey Posse read down dude. I had a post that said Sean taylor is AWESOME! And others posted the same. You seem to pick what you want to read. I'm excited about his play not about his attitude, that's all. And I don't call it over moderation when you call me an ass and it is edited. I didn't call you a name and this is not the smack forum.

Wow. Two posts by Posse exalting extremeskins over thehogs.net. Posse, it's not the message you're conveying but the manner you're conveying it. You have a right to your opinions but don't you dare bash this site...or I will absolutely come after you in the Smack forum.....and, believe me when I tell you this, it will not be pretty.

To me, Taylor looked really good on the field. The interception for the TD was smart playing...not just physical size, but that helps.
And, the INT in the endzone reminded me of another Redskin Taylor in his first game with the pro's.
Until about 1964, the NFL used to start pre-season with a game between the college all-stars and the previous year's NFL champs. The All-stars included all the 1st round draft choices, but usually, it was embarassing and almost dangerous to have them against teams like Lombardi's Packers. Eventually, the league stopped it, because, in addition to the risk to all those prime draft-choices, it meant that the number 1 picks reported late to their real teams.
However.
About 1963, the Redskins made their first round pick another guy named Taylor, a big back from Arizona State named Charlie...6 foot 3, 217. In those days, colleges played two-way football, with some funny special rules to protect quarterbacks and kickers.
The college allstars coach, our future Supremo Otto Graham, took a dislike to Charlie Taylor, and made him play defense.
I don't remember which pro team played, but Charlie Taylor had two interceptions. I remember (dimly remember) watching him leap high, twist around, and rip the ball away from the pro. I think he did that on both interceptions...
So, maybe we have another big-time Taylor.
