After watching the game, I go to ESPN to watch highlights, and the douche there says at least five times that Simmons made a phantom tag on Gordon in the 9th inning, but they never show a replay. Watching the replays during the game, I could clearly see the ball in Simmons' glove as it runs over Gordon's butt, making contact the entire time. From the outfield angle you can also see that Gordon is blocked from the bag by Simmons right knee and is a good foot or two away from 2nd when the tag is applied.
Finally, I get fed up and switch to MLB Network, and the guy there is also saying he thinks Gordon was safe. Even as they show the replay and you can clearly see the tag applied before Gordon reaches the bag, he's saying he's safe. I rewind and go frame by frame, and there is no doubt that the ball is in Simmons' glove, his glove is on Gordon's ass, and Gordon is nowhere near the bag. Are these guys just Dodgers fans? I don't understand why they can't see what I do.
