Okay, I gotta "vent here a little".

The Redskins are down 0-7 early.

They score two FGs to cut the lead to 6-7.

The they score a TD to go up 12-7.

Now, I ask you....WHY DIDN'T THEY GO FOR THE TWO-POINT CONVERSION TO TRY TO GO UP 14-7?!?!?!?!?

Because they didn't, it cost us the game.

Simply because if he had tried and failed it would have screwed us worse and it would have probably been his head on a pike. Look at how many people were down on him for going for it on 4th down and WINNING?

You ust have a totally different set of guidelines for a good game than I do. We were terrible in the second half, especially in the 4th quarter. my buddy said to me at half-time, 'You guys are in pretty good shape' and I jokingly said, 'Yeah, but we only ever play HALF a good game, and that was just it.'

Guess I should have kept my mouth shut.

Do you see what we've been reduced to.... close losses are good games.

Personally, today felt like any other Monday after a loss... CRAP!!!!!!!!

Couldn't have said it better Skinsnut...I said the same thing at the half and felt the same way last night and today.

It's a damn shame, that I knew we would blow any lead and lose that game. As I've read too many times today, our players know that they continually find a way to lose.

I personally will never consider a Skin loss as a good game.

Play calling looked good. Defense look good. QB look good. We will improve. We must jell. We have next year the year after that.

redskincity - I understand what you are saying, but in this instance I am actually being fairly analytical in giving my team that I have rooted for since '80 (when I first started caring about football) a hard time. I have to ask why is it that you are upset because we are upset? Aren't we all on here to vent or celebrate together? If you don't like the particular thread, no one is forcing you to read it, but to take us to task for that is not right. I have the ability and will continue to speak out about the way I feel about this team, the players and the coaching.

Sorry if you find that offensive, but that is how it is.

To bash people, ie to make fun of their opinion, is not right when they are expressing their opinions. I am asking you to moderate your tone towards other people expressing their opinions, not stop stating yours. You could say the same thing without tearing into people as you just did to my reply to you.

If you don't like what you are seeing on one channel - change it. If you don't like seeing what is on this thread, then by all means, express it without the insults. Or, as a simpler measure, don't read it.

Nobody moderated anything, so you're just crying about nobody agreeing with you... which is the same hing that you are complaining to Rich about.

Get off the soapbox... this board is for everyone, not just you.

And like everyone, you must also obey the rules. And that means living with the fact that people won't always agree and not attacking them personally. if you can't obey those rules, then please find another forum that will allow you to behave in a way more condusive to your personality.

Most people DON'T agree with you because the team is NOT getting better and hasn't in SOS' entire tenure.

We're 4-7 dude... how is that better?

And as for playing well against Miami... did you leave and miss the 2nd half? We were awful. I don't see how you can say we played well against Miami, but if instead of ranting and raving about it how 'cheated' you always feel, why don't you provide some football evidence? Then maybe a conversation might break out.

'Cause in my opinion... if you start 3-1 and go 1-6 from that point to now... you're going backwards... not forwards.

WTF Redskincity?????

Let me tall you, I travel over four hours to go to a dedicated Skins bar every other Sunday.

I buy over $500.00 in RS merchendise every year.

I travel to any west coast game where the skins play every year; air fare, hotel, etc., etc., etc.

In the grand scheme of things this may not be much to Danny and his millions, but it is a significant amount of time and money invested in this team. As such, I can rant a rave and give any opinion I want about this team. I believe this dedication allows us RS fans to vent because of the product we're being provided.

As has been stated in this thread already, this team stinks now, it has stunk over the past four years, and it appears that it will continue to stink in the near future unless something drastic is done in the FO/Coaching Staff and player attitudes (committment to playing at a higher level).

It also appears that you discount the impact that COMPLAINING about your team may have on possibly chaning the above noted attitudes.

So give us frustrated fans a little more credit than simply stating we are "crying wolf" here.

LOL - longer than the past four years Mark - 12 years.

I am getting ready to convert my computer room to a Skins haven - including painting the walls, pics, posters, memorabilia... etc.

I'll take before and after shots so Boss can put 'em up on the board.

I love the Skins, even when they are dragging their butts on the field - that is why it feels so daggone lousy when they don't perform.

Redskincity, you are way out of line here. We can disagree on issues and debate them in a friendly or even heated discussion, but this type of post is a direct insult, cheap-shot, or whatever you want to call it.

Redskincity, there are better boards that are not set up in a cult like manner. I will side with you cause living in the heart of D.C. I hear it day or night, how bad we are doing. No matter whether it is Radio, T.V. freinds and even my mom and her freinds you name it.

His original post he did not call out anyone posting. I do beleive Skinsroanoke made it bigger than what it really was.

Redskincity you should not have answered back. The admin jumped on this guy and he was just expressing his opinion no matter how extreme it was.

I am a member of Extreme Redskins which has members of the team (Redskins) check in from time to time and we would be glad to have you over there. People are allowed to speak there minds without the Admin getting involve.

You guys bash this dude just for telling you to lighten up on the team that is down and now you want to boot him. He probaly is just as fustrated as you but is living in denial.

Well thanks for trolling by and playing god. I guess I could have deleted the post because of it's blatant troll content but I have nothing to hide from, and the people involved with the site are proud to call itthere's regardless of your opinion.

Actually the ONLY offense here is name calling as was expressed. I'm glad that you felt the need to come over here and spout your holier than thou view, but to be honest with you... the chaos of extremeSkins is not what I'm looking for here.

As a brand new message board (July 2003), obviously we haven't had the opportunity to build the huge following that ES has but at the same time, nor do I feel the need to go over and troll their board and ask people to come to my board. If I did, I'm sure many would come. There may not be as many threads, but we have a more quaint environment we like to think.

But we're not about numbers here, and with the amount of young people etc on the board, we wrote into our charter of rules that name calling would not be tolerated in the regular forums. We set up a specific forum for doing so that there are no rules in and we don't think it's much to ask that people take anything remotely non PG or any name calling there. Obviously you do, and that's your prerogative.

Redskincity knows he was stepping over the line slightly... that's why he did it... that's what he does... I accept that and I'd like to think that despite the rules, he knows that as long as he obeys them that he is always welcome here. He has had a few hundred posts WITHOUT incident as well. I didn't ban him, didn't suspend him... didn't even threaten to do so. If you ask him I didn't even address it, I just posted the rule reminding him that name calling MUST be taken to the Smack forum.

I'm glad that you enjoy your time at ES and I hope you continue to do so. You probably are part of something bigger, we think we're part of something better.

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay here and I thank you for the feedback.
