Madden has always been biased towards Portis. Madden sweats him, during MNF games Madden eeewed and ahhed everytime Portis touched the ball.

I think we got the better end of the deal. Portis is a very good RB, runs like Barry Sanders IMO. Champ was going to be gone anyway. So we got something for nothing and the Broncos gave up a stud RB...the Broncos used our 2nd round pick on Tatum Bell (who has held out and then broke his finger and now has pins in it)...even deal if not a slight edge to the Skins.

On Redskin radio this morning I heard them say that Shannon Sharpe said he is the best running back he has ever seen :D

All I can say is I feel better and better about this trade all the time. Especially when I remember Champ getting burned last year.

I hate to sound homerish now he complimented us, but even though he has no announcing skills, he is the only person who you can truely say has forgotten more about football than any of us will ever know.

So it is good that he endorses our trade, I guess.

Smithian, I'm not sure what you wrote, but sounds like you've dipped into a few pre-game beverages. :)

Good Call. John Madden is King and will prove to the non-believers once again.

As a Bronco fan I agree that the Redskins did get the better end of the deal. Portis will touch the ball around 20 times a game and Bailey might touch the ball the once in a game. But the Broncos needed a shut down Corner. The Broncos have proven they can produce a 1,000 yd back. But their attempts at Corner have been disastrous. They need a Corner who they can trust in a one on one match up. In my opinion this was a trade that helps both teams.

This is true, The Broncos do produce the 1000 yard rushers. They should, they run the ball over 50 time a game. I admire that in the Broncos.

The Broncos do like running the ball they averged 33.9 attempts per game.
