Cut/Bench {INSERT PLAYER NAME HERE} ????

Post by UK Skins Fan »

Well, why not? Let's have a thread for all the "Cut Player X/Y" stuff to go. If we're really clever, we could allow the thread to descend into a meaningful discussion about where the Redskins problems really lie....

But before we try something as difficult as that, here's another idea:

If we lived in a strange parallel world, where a team's issues could ALL be solved simply by removing one single player, what Redskins player would you cut or bench right now? I realise this is nonsense, especially given the fact that we haven't been able to conclude whether the problem is offence/defence/special teams/coaching/Mara/everybody. But I have committed myself to starting at least one thread every season, and this is it ;-)

I'll get the ball rolling with............

.....................wait for it..................

...........I'm only half joking here.........

Definitely Rex Grossman. That guy is like a boat anchor to this team right now.

sad to say but right now London Fletcher ...

he is not getting the job done and is a big reason our run D has been so terrible to start the season.. I certainly hope he improves though

Madness - he's the best tackler we have.

I would not look to cut anyone in particular, but I would look to trade Orakpo. I do not think he has enough moves, and I do not think he is getting better.

I'd like to see more Jordan Reed, so maybe Fred Davis? He's been awfully quiet in both games.

I think Fred will have a big game in the next week or two.

Its amazing people don't recognize how much better Kerrigan is when Orakpo is out there.

Certainly true... unfortunately, reality has no bearing on the truth of the bus jumpers.

Shh, Orakpo is worthless and highly overrated. Frankly, I can't wait until Jackson gets back, whose immeasurably better than Orakpo, so we can start him. Kerrigan is jesus, how dare you blaspheme.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

I think someone needs to have a heart to heart with London. Are you in for the rest of the year or what? Having 3 tackles in a game is not acceptable, so if you're in for playing ALL out for the rest of the season this team will rally behind you. If he doesn't have it in him, he needs to sit

I kinda think we only have ourselves to blame on Fletcher. I have no doubt that he is "in" and playing his heart out. We may be asking a lot of our 38 year old LB though.

I think Hall needs to be cut, sorry I just don't see any value other than talking crap to other teams, I also think that London should not be playing every snap. He has remarkably slower these last 2 years. I don't think Orakpo is as good as thought and I think that Fred Davis will not be here next year. I also hope Chester, Montgomery and Polumbus also get cut at year end, they SUCK!!!

Forbath
no particular reason

maybe we could cut them all and replace each position with a player with the same last name (starting qb Cedric Griffin, cb Arsenio Hall, lb Nancy Kerrigan, etc)
