Any one else not like the idea that that Vompton is 68 and Jenkins is 51?
Whenever I see 68 and 51 like most Skins' fans they think Grimm and Monte Coleman.

Yeah, but we really don't have many numbers left. I think players should be able to wear the numbers of the greats, seeing it as an honor and challenge to live up to the legacy. My 2 cents

Are you suggesting that we retire the #'s of all our great players? We'd have to start using 3 digit #'s.

There is only one retired number... 33.
Several others are simply not used...
9... 28... 43... 43... 44... 49... 70... 81.

hah. I've personally always hated the practice of retiring jersey numbers. For some of these numbers, I'd rather see young players have to give Art Monk or Russ Grimm or whomever a call and ask permission to wear the number. You're still honoring those great players and maybe helping that young guy out at the same time.

And if Sonny thinks you're a d-bag who doesn't deserve to wear the #9, he can always say no.

No they put the jersey out for sunrise. The word he was loooking for is donned. Taking it off would be doffed.

Minnefield had microfracture surgery, which no one ever comes back from strong. It causes a permanent weakening of the knee. The Skins know that his career can be over at any moment, even from a routine hit. He didn't get beaten out by anybody, as official reports have it. He was cut because of his medical condition. The Skins know he's better than his competition

I don't see us keeping 11 DB's. To the best of my knowledge, we never have. I also think it would be very risky to go with only 1 backup interior OL.
