Training camp news
Training camp opened today, so I thought I'd open up a thread for any news. So anybody got anything?

Hail to the Redskins!
Robert Griffin III - QB - Redskins
Robert Griffin III (knee) confirmed Wednesday that he does not plan to play in any preseason games "unless it's a necessity."
RG3 barely played in the 2012 preseason, attempting all of 31 passes and scrambling five times, spread out over three exhibition contests. That was considered surprising at the time. But clearly he doesn't need a ton of preseason reps to be ready for the regular season. In Week 1 against the Saints, RG3 completed 73.1 percent of his throws with 362 all-purpose yards and two TDs.
Jul 24 - 4:25 PM
Adam Carriker - DL - Redskins
Redskins DE Adam Carriker will undergo another surgery on his torn quadriceps on Thursday.
He's out indefinitely. Carriker has experienced numerous setbacks as he recovers from last year's injury, and opened camp on the PUP list. He'll also likely now open the season on reserve/PUP, costing Carriker the first six games. Stephen Bowen and Jarvis Jenkins will be Washington's Week 1 starting ends.

I hate that for him. But I hope he's the only major injury we have this year. We won't have as good of a season this year if the same type of injuries happen like last year. We got a lot of guys coming back from injuries that I feel like are hungry to make a statement after coming back. Keep up the training camp news, I get more and more anxious for the season every day.

So with Carriker on the PUP list, they won't have to make any kind of roster decision on him until later in the season?
That's too bad about the injury setback.

Wilson has a shoulder injury, Mo Hurt I believe not 100% sure but have some sort of leg injury.
They could be both taken off later on before the season starts.

Wilson went on the PUP this morning...
Came off this afternoon

Bernstine is coming off a injury and will more than likely be put on IR after he clears waivers

Redskins add secondary depth
The Redskins have added defensive backs Ryan Mouton and Jose Gumbs.
They replace safeties Jordan Bernstine and Devin Holland, who were released earlier Thursday.
Mouton (5 foot 9, 184 pounds) is a 26-year-old cornerback who was drafted in the third round by the Titans in 2009. He has appeared in 36 career games, including four starts.
Gumbs is a 5-10, 210-pound safety. The 25-year-old has spent time with the Chiefs’ and Saints’ organizations.

Two players, same injury, same setback. IMHO, there's a problem with the team medical staff. At a time where the NFLPA is questioning NFL doctors, this may be the reason why. Something is wrong with the process that they're using if they're losing players to repeat injuries after rehabilitation.
IF my assumption is true. I'd potentially file a complaint/grievance against the team, especially if they cut me soon after.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

To be fair to the team Drs., Rak and Keenan may have had the same initial injury to a pectoral muscle. But Rak's second injury was to a different part of the pec and keenan's second is actually to his same side shoulder or the other pec/shoulder altogether not the same pec.
LinkYes, that's the same injury that ended his 2012 season after 11 games. But that injury was to his right pec; this time the tear is in his right shoulder.
Or
LinkThis time, he injured the other pec.
Doesn't refute your conclusion, but not sure your premises get you there.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

Kirk Cousins at TC
We've heard that Mike is going to use Kirk Cousins more in the pre season ...
anything more? I've heard that he's looking pretty good - I know, I know "it's camp" but ...

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

we all know about Jr. Jr. ... how does that pertain to how Kirk Cousins is doing at camp?
If, RG Jr. Jr. is out, it would follow that they would use Cousins more, no?

OK - I understand now ..
I saw some talking heads say that Will Brinson 'reported' that KC had looked pretty sharp at TC even when running the read option plays
I have little faith in these mediots as you know and was wondering if there were any more 'reliable' reports from TC about Kirk
