Tampa Bay Benches Keyshawn Johnson for the season

Post by NC43Hog »

I just hope DS has enough sense to stay away from this guy - look the other way Danny Boy.

AMEN! We dont need a slow receiver who doesnt run after the catch. I didnt think that anyone could be more afraid of getting hit then Deion Sanders but then comes Keyshawn. He is WAY WAY overrated.

I know that there is questions regarding whether he is coming out this year and he probably will be the 1st player taken when he does come out but...has anyone ever seen a receiver (in college) like Larry Fitzgerald? This guy is the real deal. He can come into the NFL today and compete for a spot in the Pro Bowl. This guy has every tool imaginable. He is a special special player.

I think we have enouph receivers, and without KJ's bad attitude. DS would be crazy to spend money on anyone or anything unless it could eat it's weight and begins the play in some sort of crouch.

Keyshaun does not drop many passes and Brad J gets him killed with those floaters. He has not said much this year. He is a playmaker. You have to get the ball to him. LC, the same thing. My 2 cents

I disagree that KJ is an elite receiver. He has awful mechanics. He catches the ball with his body and not his hands and the reason he doesnt score many touchdowns is because he doesnt run after the catch. He is too busy trying to get out of bounds so not to get hit. Not to mention his awful attitude and sub-par speed.

Most KJs catches are over the middle, according to ESPN.

Another thing some of the reporters I heard were talking about - he is apparently a heckuva blocker and goes after the ball 100% every play.

Even so - with the attitude - I just don't think so

Well then don't watch the Fox pregame show this week. They've just signed MeShawn for a guest spot.

But I agree. There's NO WAY this person should ever be considered for a Redskins roster spot.
