Commentary:
MINNESOTA v. CHICAGO: an easy expected win for Chicago and they delivered. Still the favourites to win it all.
LOS ANGELES v. ST. LOUIS: After a good season the Blues disappoint. The Champs are up to defend their title. Others beware!
DETROIT v. ANAHEIM: A very even series won more with guts than skill.
TORONTO v. BOSTON: I mean ... How can THIS happen??? Bruins were down and out by THREE goals at the end of game SEVEN! Even as a Habs fan, I now have sympathy for the Leafs and their fans. Most horrendous elimination of this round among both conferences. Ouch!
NY ISLANDERS v. PITTSBURGH: Pitt looked beatable by a good team. Islanders played with courage.
SAN JOSE v. VANCOUVER: Disastrous playoffs for the Cannucks. A few will lose their jobs because they were expected to win and instead were swept in 4 games.
OTTAWA v. MONTRÉAL: The better team won. Habs were hurt, injured and did not capitalise on many wasted opportunities and dominance over long stretches. Ottawa earned it fair and square.
NY RANGERS v. WASHINGTON: Next to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington had to break, YET AGAIN, its fans hearts. A series basically in the pocket was righfully taken away from them. I blame poor coaching and little help to Ovechkin. How many times and ways can they figure out to disappoint and frustrate their fans? And Ovechkin ... ineffective in the series? Give me a break!

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
