Taylors contract problem in near future??

Post by 2K1NSM2U »

I know Sean Taylor just signed his contract but i was watching espn news last night and they showed contract comparisons of rookies drafted 3-8. It seemed at the time Taylor got a hell of a deal but as it looks right now, he got RIPPED off. Showed how KW2 hasnt signed, taylor 7 yrs 18 mil with enscentives (sp?), roy williams 5 yrs but nothing about how much money for the contract and DeAngelo Hall 5 yrs 25 mil with a 13 mil signing bonus...higher than Vick at 11mil. I mean im a die hard tech fan and wished KJ and Hall hadnt left this yr but i have to say, there is no way Hall should be getting more money than Taylor. I think Taylor might have jumped the gun and now realizes that. The reason why matos is no longer his agent. He made the mistake of getting rid of Rosenhaus. I know we are up and around the cap but I think Dan could of dished out a little more cash his way. I see this being a problem being a problem in the near future.

As has been said in numerous threads before, Taylor is under contract, and can't renegotiate for at least a year. If he hold's out, he will be fined every day he misses. But he has not missed a single practice, and has no plans to. This is a total non-issue.

NON ISSUE!!! Let's re-open this thread next year when it MAY be an issue. RIght now, the kid is under contract, and just had his best day at camp.

I agree. This is a non-issue. He can address it next year when according to the CBA he can re-negotiate. I think Taylor has put himself in a precarious position. Because he's a rookie, he's putting himself under enormous pressure to have a pro bowl type of year right off the bat. That could be good in the sense that he might play better. But, some players need two or three years to develop NFL type talent. Let's hope he has a standout year. If he does, I don't think Snyder will have a problem renegotiating a contract. Snyder, while some people criticize his spending, is willing to pay for top shelf talent.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

You're right, its not his willingness to spend. Its that keen eye for ripe talent he has  .
